Raise The Dead
''Raise the Dead'' is the fourth studio album by rock band Phantom Planet. It was released on April 15, 2008. The CD includes reworked versions of "Leader" and "Geronimo", both of which appeared on the ''Limited Edition Tour EP'', as well as a reworked version of "Do the Panic", which originally appeared on the band's 'bootleg' fanclub CD '' Phantom Planet: Negatives''. Early on in the recording process Phantom Planet's contract with Epic Records expired, which left them searching for a new record label. Soon after this, they signed to Fueled by Ramen. On January 20, 2008, Phantom Planet posted a bulletin on their Myspace page to announce that the official release date would be April 15, 2008. Fueled by Ramen re-released a teaser trailer and stated that the first single from the album would be a reworking of "Do the Panic". The second single was "Dropped". Phantom Planet is an American Rock music, rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1994. The band consists of Alex Greenwald (vocals, rhythm guitar), Darren Robinson (lead guitar), Sam Farrar (bass guitar) and Jeff Conrad (drums). The band is best known for its track "California (Phantom Planet song), California", which became the theme song for the Television program, TV series ''The O.C.''. The band featured actor Jason Schwartzman on drums until 2003. On November 25, 2008, the band announced in a blog entry on their website that they were going on "hiatus" and would "not be playing any more live shows or making any new records, indefinitely." Big City Rock was an American pop rock band based in Los Angeles, California, United States, who were signed to Atlantic Records. Their music type is self-described as "energetic, anthemic pop" with "an uplifting sound", with keyboards, guitar, and drums. Due to shifts in the band's membership, the remaining members of the group created a new band called The Remainers. History Tim Resudek, Frank Staniszewski, Jeff Conrad and Nate Bott, who grew up together in Madison, Wisconsin started a ska-punk band in eighth grade named Stinkfish. Sam Farrar
Sam John Farrar (born June 29, 1978) is an American musician. He is best known as a member of the pop band Maroon 5, in which he plays several instruments, primarily bass guitar. A frequent collaborator with the band since the 1990s, he joined as a touring member in 2012 and was promoted to an official member in 2017. He has also been the bassist for the rock band Phantom Planet since their formation in 1994. Alex Greenwald is an American musician, actor, and record producer. He is the lead vocalist of the California rock band Phantom Planet. Life and career Greenwald is American. Eric Alexander Wareheim (; born April 7, 1976) is an American comedian, actor, writer, director, and musician. He is best known as one half of the comedy duo Tim & Eric, alongside Tim Heidecker.
