Rafael Baca Miranda (born 11 September 1989) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Monterey Bay FC in the USL Championship. Career Early career Born in Tuxpan, near Morelia, Baca moved to California at the age of 7, and graduated from Ánimo Leadership Charter High School in Inglewood in 2007. While there he scored a total of 58 goals and received the Athlete Academic Award. Baca attended Loyola Marymount University (2007–2010), where he was a star player for the team. LMU won their first conference championship in school history in 2010 during Baca's junior season, in which Baca was named to the thirty player watch list for the Hermann Trophy. The San Jose Earthquakes are an American professional soccer team based in San Jose, California. The Earthquakes compete as a member club of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). Ian Russell (soccer)
Ian Russell (born August 30, 1975) is an American soccer coach and former player. He is currently an assistant coach of MLS club San Jose Earthquakes. Career Russell attended the University of Washington on a soccer scholarship and was a three-time (1994, 1996–97) All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation first team selection. He then played for the Seattle Sounders of the USL First Division in 1998 and 1999. He won the offensive MVP award in 1999. Professional playing After being drafted by the Seattle Sounders in 1998, Russell played for two seasons in the USL First Division. In 2000, Russell moved to Polish side Lech Poznań, and played only one game in a league cup. Marvin Antonio Chávez (born November 3, 1983 in La Ceiba) is a Honduran footballer who played as a midfielder, most recently for C.D. Marathón in the Liga Nacional. Career Club Chávez – who is nicknamed "el hijo del viento" (''the son of the wind'') – spent the early part of his professional career playing in Honduras for Victoria and Marathón. The New England Revolution is an American professional soccer club based in the Greater Boston area that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), in the Eastern Conference of the league. The Supporters' Shield is an annual award given to the Major League Soccer team with the best regular season record, as determined by the MLS points system. The Supporters' Shield has been annually awarded at the MLS Supporters' Summit since 1999 (with the winners between 1996 and 1998 awarded retroactively), and has been recognized as a major trophy by the league. Frank Yallop
Frank Walter Yallop (born 4 April 1964) is a British-Canadian professional soccer coach. Yallop is currently the head coach and sporting director of USL Championship side Monterey Bay FC. He played 13 years in England for Ipswich, including the club's first three seasons in the Premier League. He also played in Major League Soccer (MLS) for the Tampa Bay Mutiny, and earned 52 caps for the Canada men's national soccer team. He spent a further 13 years as coach in MLS for San Jose Earthquakes, LA Galaxy, and Chicago Fire, as well as 3 years coaching the Canadian men's national team.
