Quick 1888
Quick 1888 (also referred to as Quick Nijmegen) is an amateur sporting club from Nijmegen, Netherlands. It was founded in 1888 as a cricket club and currently plays football in the third amateur level. As a football club, Quick reached its moment of fame in 1949 when it won the Dutch Cup of which a replica is on display in the club house. Afterwards the club lost the final of the 1949 Dutch Supercup against Schiedamse Voetbal Vereniging. The club also has a badminton, athletics and a field hockey branch. In computational fluid dynamics QUICK, which stands for Quadratic Upstream Interpolation for Convective Kinematics, is a higher- order differencing scheme that considers a three-point upstream weighted quadratic interpolation for the cell face values. In computational fluid dynamics there are many solution methods for solving the steady convection–diffusion equation. Some of the used methods are the central differencing scheme, upwind scheme, hybrid scheme, power law scheme and QUICK scheme. The QUICK scheme was presented by Brian P. Leonard – together with the QUICKEST (QUICK with Estimated Streaming Terms) scheme – in a 1979 paper. Quick, West Virginia
Quick is a small unincorporated community in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. It is located along Indian Creek Road (County Route 49). The community is where Whitoak Fork and Blue Creek come together and meet. It is also where the abandoned railroad that follows Blue Creek joins the road, and follows it all the way to the community of Hitop, along Pond Fork. Its post office is closed. The community includes a church and community center, and a few other small community places. Quick Community Center was originally a junior high school in the 1940s. In the early 1960s, Quick Junior High became Quick Elementary and it housed students from grades 1 to 3. In the early 1980s the elementary school was closed. It was a few years afterward that the build was utilized as a community center. Quick Road was built and upgraded during the Great Depression by the WPA Program. James Tillis (born July 5, 1957) is a retired American professional boxer and actor. Known as "Quick", he was known for his fast hand speed, quite astonishing for a man of his size and build. A natural southpaw, Tillis turned around to orthodox midway in his amateur career. James "Quick" Parker
James "Quick" Parker (January 1, 1958 – March 27, 2018) was a Canadian football player who was a leading defensive player in the Canadian Football League. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After attending Wake Forest University from 1976 to 1979, where he was a conference all star and second in all-time career sacks with 15, Parker joined the Edmonton Eskimos in 1980, right in the middle of the greatest dynasty in CFL history. He played with them for 4 years, until 1983, when he moved to the BC Lions for six seasons (from 1984 to 1989) and finished his 12-year career with the Toronto Argonauts (1990 to 1991). Though small, Parker was famed for his quick burst off the line of scrimmage. He won the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award three times (1982, 1984, 1986) and was an all star six times.
