Progresso Associação Do Sambizanga
Progresso Associação do Sambizanga is an Angolan football club based in Luanda. The club was founded in 1975, as a result of a merger of three clubs: Juventude Unida do Bairro Alfredo (JUBA), Juventista and Vaza. Progresso do Sambizanga is notably the only club in Girabola to maintain a women's soccer team, even without official competition. They play their home games at the state-owned Estádio da Cidadela. History The club made its debut in the Girabola in 1981 and won their only cup title in 1996 after defeating Primeiro de Agosto and qualified into the 1997 CAF Winners' Cup where they challenged with Gabon's FC 105 Libreville and won a goal in the first leg and lost 2–0 in the last, this was their only appearance in the continental competition. Estádio Da Cidadela
Estádio da Cidadela is a stadium in Luanda, Angola. It is used mostly for football matches, while sometimes hosting cultural events, including musical concerts. It is part of the Complexo Desportivo da Cidadela, along with the Pavilhão da Cidadela, Pavilhão Anexo and Pavilhão Anexo II. While originally holding 40,000 people, in 2006, the stadium's upper ring has been declared unsafe by the CAF and banned for public use. Until Angola's independence in November 1975, the stadium has been owned by Futebol Clube de Luanda, one of the most traditional and historical clubs in Luanda. Shortly after, it has been nationalised for the purpose of general government use. Joaquim Dinis
Joaquim António Dinis (born 1 December 1947, Luanda) is a former Angolan-Portuguese footballer. He played for Sporting, FC Porto and União Leiria in the Portuguese Liga, as forward. He is a brother of Angolan basketball coach Carlos Dinis. Dinis gained 14 caps and scored 5 goals for the Portugal national team. He did a great partnership with Eusébio at the Brazil Independence Cup in 1972, scoring all the 5 international goals of his career at the competition. Sambizanga
Sambizanga is one of the six urban districts that make up the municipality of Luanda, in the province of Luanda, Angola. Overview Sambizanga has a 14.5 km² area and about 244,000 inhabitants. Limited to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, on the north by the municipality of Cacuaco, in the East by the municipality of Cazenga and south by the municipalities of Ingombota and Rangel. Segundona aka Torneio de Apuramento ''(Qualification Tournament)'' or Gira Angola is the 2nd division of Angolan football (soccer). It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation and gives access to Angola's top tier football division Girabola. 2015 Girabola
The 2015 Girabola was the 37th season of top-tier football in Angola. The season ran from 11 February to 10 October 2015. Recreativo do Libolo survived a late-season scare from 1º de Agosto to win their fourth Angolan championship, all in the past five years. Recreativo do Libolo needed a scoreless draw against Académica do Lobito in their final game to finish in a tie atop the standings with 1º de Agosto, who closed the season with six straight wins.
