Princess Feodora Of Hohenlohe-Langenburg
Princess Feodora Victoria Adelheid of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (7 July 1839 – 10 February 1872) was a daughter of Ernst I, Prince of Hohenlohe-Langenburg and Princess Feodora of Leiningen. She married Georg II, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen, Georg of Saxe-Meiningen and was List of Saxon consorts#Duchess of Saxe-Meiningen, Duchess of Saxe-Meiningen from his accession as Duke Georg II on 20 September 1866 until her death in 1872. Family Feodora was the youngest of six children. Her mother was an older half-sister to Queen Victoria, thus making the younger Feodora a niece of the Queen. Her siblings included Prince Victor of Hohenlohe-Langenburg and Princess Adelheid of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, Adelheid, Duchess of Schleswig-Holstein. Franz Xaver Winterhalter (20 April 1805 – 8 July 1873) was a German painter and lithographer, known for his flattering portraits of royalty and upper-class society in the mid-19th century. His name has become associated with fashionable court portraiture. Ludwig of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (20 October 1696 in Langenburg – 16 January 1765 in Langenburg) was a Count of Hohenlohe-Langenburg. On 7 January 1764, he was elevated to Imperial Prince by Emperor Francis I. Life He was a son of Count Albert Wolfgang of Hohenlohe-Langenburg and Countess Sophia Amalia of Nassau-Saarbrücken. During Ludwig's reign as prince, some modifications to Langenburg Castle were made: the east wing was provided with its present form and further modifications in the Baroque style took place. Countess Augusta Caroline Sophie Reuss-Ebersdorf () (19 January 1757 – 16 November 1831), was by marriage the Duchess of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. She was the maternal grandmother of Queen Victoria and the paternal grandmother of Albert, Prince Consort. Carl Friedrich Wilhelm, Prince of Leiningen (german: Fürst zu Leiningen; 14 August 1724 – 9 January 1807) was a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire and the first ruler of the Principality of Leiningen. Life Carl Friedrich Wilhelm was the eldest son of Friedrich Magnus, Count of Leiningen-Dagsburg-Hartenburg (1703-1756), and his wife, Countess Anna Christine Eleonore von Wurmbrand-Stuppach (1698-1763).
