FIBA U20 European Championship
The FIBA U20 European Championship, previously known as the European Championship for Men '22 and Under', is a men's youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1992 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship, 1992 edition. Through the 2004 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship, 2004 edition, it was held biennially, but since 2005 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship, 2005 edition, it is held every year. The 2014 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship was the 17th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. The competition was played in Crete, Greece, from 8 to 20 July 2014. The winners were Turkey. They are controlled by the Polish Basketball Federation (PZKosz). Poland has competed at the EuroBasket on 28 occasions, with their best performance at the tournament coming in 1963, as hosts, finishing as runners-up. Poland has competed six times at the Olympic Games, with their best finish being fourth place at the first edition of the event in 1936.
