Barry Jozwiak
Barry J. Jozwiak (born December 21, 1945) is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 5th district made up of parts of Berks County. Shoemakersville is a borough in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,378 at the 2010 census, a decline from the figure of 2,124 tabulated in 2000. History Shoemakersville was named for the first settlers, Henry and Charles Shoemaker. It was a thriving apparel manufacturing town. The Merit Underwear Company factory was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The borough is home of the "Shoey Green Sox" Little League baseball team. John R. (born John Richbourg, August 20, 1910 - February 15, 1986) was an American radio disc jockey who attained fame in the 1950s and 1960s for playing rhythm and blues music on Nashville radio station WLAC. He was also a notable record producer and artist manager. Richbourg was arguably the most popular and charismatic of the four announcers at WLAC who showcased popular African-American music in nightly programs from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. (The other three were Gene Nobles, Herman Grizzard, and Bill "Hoss" Allen.) Later rock music disc jockeys, such as Alan Freed and Wolfman Jack, mimicked Richbourg's practice of using speech that simulated African-American street language of the mid-twentieth century. Fairview Township is a township in Erie County, Pennsylvania, United States. Situated on the southern shore of Lake Erie, it was one of the county's sixteen original townships, and was founded in 1797. In 1998 Fairview Township annexed the former Fairview Borough. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, the township's population was 11,136, which is an increase from the 2010 census of 10,102. It is part of the Erie Metropolitan Statistical Area. Linesville is a borough in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 964 at the 2020 census, down from 987 at the 2019 census. The town derives its name from its founders, who included William Line (the grandson of a Swiss immigrant), who migrated from Carlisle, Pennsylvania, ''circa'' the early 1820s, and his relative, Amos Line, who was the town's surveyor and main proprietor. Womelsdorf is a borough in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,810 at the 2010 census. The main thoroughfares through Womelsdorf are High Street, which runs east–west, and Pennsylvania Route 419, which runs north–south. U.S. Route 422 runs along the northern edge of town. Wernersville is a borough in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,494 at the 2010 census. Geography Wernersville is located at (40.329941, -76.080701). History In the late 19th century and early 20th century, Wernersville was a noted resort community. City dwellers (especially from Philadelphia and New York City) traveled out to Wernersville (a stop on the Reading Railroad) to rest and partake of the cool mountain air of South Mountain. A number of large resort hotels were erected for this purpose including Galen Hall, Bynden Wood, Grand View and the Highland Hotel.
