Pearl City High School is located in Pearl City, in the City and County of Honolulu in the state of Hawaii, USA. Established in 1971, Pearl City High School is a public, secondary, co-educational, college preparatory high school that is part of the Hawai'i Department of Education, governed by the Board of Education. During the school's first year of operation, only buildings A and B existed. The school has since expanded, with the C to F, K, L and M buildings. Most buildings have three or four floors, making Building F the only single floor building, with two rooms for its natural resources class and weightlifting room. The sculptures ''Moon Beyond the Fence'' by Satoru Abe and ''Kua Kua Lua'' by Donald M. Page are on the campus. Pearl City is an Unincorporated area, unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in the Ewa District and Honolulu County, Hawaii, City & County of Honolulu on the Island of Oahu, Oahu. Thomas Leslie (c. 1701–1772), of Stenton, Fife, was a British Army officer and Scottish politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1734 and 1761. Barry Kopetz
Barry E. Kopetz (born 1951), is a composer and music educator. He was Head of the Music Department at Mississippi State University from 2014 until 2022. Prior to his appointment at Mississippi State, he was Director of Bands and Professor of Music at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, Director of Bands at the University of Utah, Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Minnesota, and Assistant Director of Bands at Bowling Green State University (Ohio). He has also taught in the public schools of South Carolina and Ohio. He founded the Salt Lake Symphonic Winds and served as that ensemble's conductor for eight years, and founded the Columbus Youth Symphonic Band at Capital University. Jerry Junkin
Jerry Junkin is an American conductor of wind bands and educator. Junkin serves on the faculty of the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin where he holds the Vincent R. and Jane D. DiNino Chair for the Director of Bands. He conducts the University of Texas Wind Ensemble and instructs graduate as well as undergraduate conducting courses. Additionally, Junkin has served as the conductor of the Dallas Wind Symphony since 1993. Biography Jerry Junkin was born in Victoria, Texas in 1956. Pearl City High School, is located in the town of Pearl City, Illinois. The campus is located 12 miles west of Freeport and 44 miles west of Rockford. It is located just six miles south of U.S. Route 20, a major east–west highway connected to Interstate 90. Facilities Pearl City Community Unit School District #200 presently operates one school building that contains all Pre-K through twelfth grade students. The school was built in 1912 and although it has been remodeled and added onto numerous times, is still the school in use today. An updated high school section was added to the building in 1970, including the current gymnasium.
