Paul Whittaker (newspaper Editor)
Paul Whittaker is an Australian newspaper journalist and editor. In 2018, he was appointed CEO of Sky News in Australia. Career Whittaker was editor of ''The Australian'' from 2007 to 2011, having previously held roles of national chief of staff and deputy editor. From 2011 to 2015 he was editor of The Daily Telegraph, where he championed the Badgerys Creek Airport and the interests of Western Sydney. In 2014 he established the Bradfield Oration, a series of public talks addressing the future vision for Sydney. In October 2018 he announced he was leaving ''The Australian'' to take up the position of CEO for Sky News. The annual Walkley Awards are presented in Australia to recognise and reward excellence in journalism. They cover all media including print, television, documentary, radio, photographic and online media. The Gold Walkley is the highest prize and is chosen from all category winners. George Pell
George Pell (8 June 1941 – 10 January 2023) was an Australian cardinal of the Catholic Church. From 2002, he faced recurring accusations of sexual abuse, although his subsequent sexual abuse conviction was quashed on appeal to the High Court of Australia. The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse was a royal commission announced in November 2012 and established in 2013 by the Australian government pursuant to the Royal Commissions Act 1902 to inquire into and report upon responses by institutions to instances and allegations of child sexual abuse in Australia. The establishment of the commission followed revelations of child abusers being moved from place to place instead of their abuse and crimes being reported. There were also revelations that adults failed to try to stop further acts of child abuse. The commission examined the history of abuse in educational institutions, religious groups, sporting organisations, state institutions and youth organisations. Dinosaur Park
Dinosaur Park is a dinosaur park in Rapid City, South Dakota, United States. Dedicated on May 22, 1936, it contains seven dinosaur sculptures on a hill overlooking the city, created to capitalize on the tourists coming to the Black Hills to see Mount Rushmore. Constructed by the City of Rapid City and the Works Progress Administration, WPA Project #960's dinosaurs were designed by Emmet Sullivan. Sullivan also designed the ''Apatosaurus'' at Wall Drug nearby in Wall, South Dakota; the Christ of the Ozarks statue in Eureka Springs, Arkansas; and the dinosaurs at the now-closed Dinosaur World in Beaver, Arkansas.
