Levallois-Perret () is a commune in the Hauts-de-Seine department and Île-de-France region of north-central France. Levallois Sporting Club Basket, abbreviated as either LCB Basket or Levallois SCB, is a French basketball club that is based in Levallois, Paris, France. It is the men's basketball section of the French multi-sport club Levallois Sporting Club. History Levallois Sporting Club Basket was founded in 1941. Marcellin "Marcel" Cerdan (; 22 July 1916 – 28 October 1949) was a French professional boxer and world middleweight champion who was considered by many boxing experts and fans to be France's greatest boxer, and beyond to be one of the best to have learned his craft in Africa. The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season.
