Pnau
Pnau ( ) is an Australian dance music trio originating from Sydney. The trio, a duo before 2016, consists of the musicians Nick Littlemore (vocals, production), Peter Mayes (guitar, production) and Sam Littlemore (production), with the latter joining in 2016. Pnau has achieved multiple successes with their award-winning 1999 first album ''Sambanova'' and the widely acclaimed 2007 release '' Pnau''. Pnau is also recognised for a heavily publicised apprenticeship under the musician Elton John, who signed the duo after listening to the ''Pnau'' album. Several of Pnau's later projects have had John's involvement, such as the album ''Soft Universe'' and an album of Pnau recreations of Elton John's hits called '' Good Morning to the Night''. Apart from being a member of Pnau, Nick Littlemore also appears as one half of the project Empire of the Sun, which has had multiple chart-topping singles. Sam Littlemore
Sam Littlemore, also known as Sam La More, is an Australian record producer, songwriter and recording artist working in Sydney and Los Angeles. Littlemore, a member of dance music trio Pnau, is best known for the international number one song Cold Heart (Pnau Remix) by Elton John & Dua Lipa (2021) which he and fellow members of Pnau co-wrote and produced. He is also known for his involvement in the production of " What You Waiting For?" Nick Littlemore
Nicholas George Littlemore (born 6 May 1978) is an Australian musician, record producer, singer and songwriter. As a musician, he is the frontman of the electronic duo Pnau, an ex-member of the art-rock band Teenager and one part of the electro pop-project Empire of the Sun. As a record producer, he has worked with Elton John, Lover Lover, Groove Armada and Mika. From late 2009, Littlemore had worked with the Cirque Du Soleil as a composer and musical director for the touring arena show ''Zarkana'', which debuted on 29 June 2011. His older brother Sam La More is also a musician and record producer. In 2019, he and Peter Mayes launched the label Lab78. ''Changa'' is the fifth studio album by Australian electronic trio Pnau. It was released on 10 November 2017 by the independent label etcetc. It follows their 2012 remix album in collaboration with Elton John, '' Good Morning to the Night'', and is their first studio album since ''Soft Universe'' (2011). It is also their first album as a trio, with vocalist and co-founder Nick Littlemore's brother Sam Littlemore joining in 2016. The album was preceded by the lead single "Chameleon" in November 2016, which reached number four on the ARIA Singles Chart, and number 11 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2016. It features vocals by Kira Divine. It has received over 25 million streams on Spotify and been certified double platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The album was released on 12 November 2007 on the independent record label etcetc in Australia and on the independent record label Pnau Records and Tapes on LP in the UK in 2009. Soft Universe
''Soft Universe'' is the fourth studio album by Australian electronic act Pnau. The album was released in July 2011 by Etcetc and peaked at number 13 on the ARIA Charts; becoming the act's highest charting album to date. The album featured a new "rock-anthem" sound unlike the duo's straightforward electronic dance sound for which they were previously known. Sambanova
''Sambanova'' is the debut album by Australian dance music duo, Pnau, it was released in July 1999 on the independent Peking Duck label. However, the album was pulled from record stores due to uncleared samples, Warner Music Australasia re-released it in August 2001 with a different track listing, and it peaked in the Top 40 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The album won an ARIA Music Awards for Best Dance Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 2000. Background Pnau released their debut album ''Sambanova'' in July 1999 under the small independent Peking Duck label. It was recorded in a bedroom studio and Pnau declared they only expected to sell "a few thousand copies". Empire of the Sun are an Australian electronic music duo formed in 2007. The duo is a collaboration between Luke Steele, of alternative rock band The Sleepy Jackson, and Nick Littlemore, of electronic dance band Pnau. Ladyhawke (musician)
Phillipa Margaret "Pip" Brown (born 13 July 1979), better known by her stage name Ladyhawke, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She took her stage name from Richard Donner's 1985 film '' Ladyhawke''. Brown was part of the Wellington-based band Two Lane Blacktop (2001–2003), before moving to Australia where, in 2004, she formed the art rock band Teenager with Nick Littlemore of Pnau. In 2007 she moved to London, afterwards relocating to Los Angeles around 2013, and then subsequently relocating back to her native New Zealand after the release of her third album, Wild Things. Teenager (band)
Teenager was an art rock, punk dance band formed in 2004 by Nick Littlemore as a side project from his electronic dance group Pnau, and Phillipa "Pip" Brown (later known as Ladyhawke) on guitar (ex-member of New Zealand band Two Lane Blacktop). In 2006 their debut single "Pony" was issued ahead of the album, ''Thirteen'', which was followed by a second single, "Bound and Gagged". The album had been recorded over three years in studios in Sydney, London, New York, Paris and Los Angeles. The track "Pony" is featured in the soundtrack of the video game ''Grand Theft Auto IV''.
