It is located at the intersection of state highways 7 and 65, approximately 10 miles east of Lawton in the southwestern portion of the state. It is part of the Jacksonville, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Pumpkin Center is located at (34.782477, -77.364712). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.5 km), all land.
