Public Image Of Eminem
Throughout his career, American rapper Eminem has received recognition as a public figure. His transgressive work during the late 1990s and early 2000s made him a controversial figure, as well as a symbol of popular angst of the American underclass. Eminem has created numerous alter egos that he uses in his songs for different rapping styles and subject matter, most importantly Slim Shady. He has had several lyrical feuds with other musical artists, creating numerous diss tracks. Some of his lyrics have been criticized as being homophobic, though the rapper continuously denied the accusations. Eminem has also had several legal issues, the first one at the age of 20. Mainstream perceptions In 2002, the BBC said that the perception of Eminem as a "modern-day William Shakespeare" was comparable to the reception of American singer Bob Dylan: "Not since Bob Dylan's heyday in the mid-1960s has an artist's output been subjected to such intense academic scrutiny as an exercise in contem ...

The Notorious B
''The'' is a grammatical article in English, denoting nouns that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archaic pronoun '' the ...

It is a form of substance-related disorder, differing definitions of drug misuse are used in public health, medical, and criminal justice contexts. In some cases, criminal or anti-social behavior occurs when some persons are under the influence of a drug, and may result in long-term personality changes in individuals which may also occur. In addition to possible physical, social, and psychological harm, the use of some drugs may also lead to criminal penalties, although these vary widely depending on the local jurisdiction.. Drugs most often associated with this term include alcohol, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabis, cocaine, hallucinogens, methaqualone, and opioids. The exact cause of substance abuse is sometimes clear, but there are two predominant theories: either a gene ...

Kim (song)
"Kim" is a song by American rapper Eminem that appears on his 2000 album ''The Marshall Mathers LP''. The song reflects intense anger and hatred toward his then-wife Kim Mathers and features Eminem imitating her voice, ending with him murdering her and later putting her body in the trunk of his car. "Kim" was the first song Eminem recorded for the album, shortly after finishing work on ''The Slim Shady LP'' in late 1998. He wrote it, along with "'97 Bonnie & Clyde" (where Eminem and his daughter go to the lake to dispose of Kim's dead body), when he and Kim were having relationship problems and Kim was preventing him from seeing his daughter Hailie. Despite its controversial graphic content, it is often highlighted as one of Eminem's most memorable songs. "Kim" is the third song of Eminem about Kim, the first of which is "Searchin'" from his debut album Infinite (Eminem album), ''Infinite'', and the second "'97 Bonnie & Clyde" from the albums ''Slim Shady EP'' and ''The Slim Sh ...

The Marshall Mathers LP 2
''The Marshall Mathers LP 2'' is the eighth studio album by American rapper Eminem. It was released on November 5, 2013, by Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records. It is his last album to feature the involvement of the independent label WEB Entertainment and his first since joining Aftermath not to feature production by his mentor Dr. Dre, who instead serves as an executive producer alongside Rick Rubin. The album is a sequel to Eminem's third studio album, '' The Marshall Mathers LP'', and follows the trend set by his previous album, '' Recovery'', by featuring popstars such as Rihanna and Nate Ruess, and using outside producers like S1, Alex da Kid, and Rick Rubin. The idea of a sequel to ''The Marshall Mathers LP'' came about after Eminem recorded a handful of songs in the early stages of the creation of the album that reminded him of his earlier music, though Eminem wanted to experiment with "retro, vintage" sounds from turntablism for the sequel ...

Relapse (Eminem Album)
''Relapse'' is the sixth studio album by American rapper Eminem, released on May 15, 2009, by Aftermath Entertainment, Shady Records, and Interscope Records. It marks Eminem’s first studio album after a five-year hiatus following his 2004 release, '' Encore'', which was due to a combination of writer's block and an addiction to prescription sleeping medication. Of all Eminem's albums, ''Relapse'' features the most production work by his mentor Dr. Dre, who produced every track on the album except for " Beautiful", which was produced by Eminem himself. Mark Batson collaborated with Dre on several songs, while Eminem, Dawaun Parker, and Trevor Lawrence Jr. each co-produced one track with him. ''Relapse'' is a concept album that revolves around horror, drug rehabilitation and relapse. A return of his Slim Shady alter ego, Eminem stated that the album's theme was more reminiscent of ''The Slim Shady LP'' (1999) and ''The'' ''Marshall Mathers LP'' (2000). In September 2007, Dr. ...

Encore (Eminem Album)
''Encore'' is the fifth studio album by American rapper Eminem, released on November 12, 2004, through Aftermath Entertainment, Shady Records, and Interscope Records. As reflected in its title, cover art, and certain lyrics, the album was originally set to be Eminem's final studio album. Its lyrical themes include Eminem's criticism of then-U.S. president George W. Bush, parodies of singer Michael Jackson and actor Christopher Reeve, and Eminem's feud with fellow rappers Benzino and Ja Rule. Overall, the album features more comedic themes and lyrics than Eminem's previous albums. ''Encore'' was met with mixed to positive reviews, with many critics deeming it inferior to its three predecessors. Most of the album's middle portion was heavily criticized, though " Like Toy Soldiers" and "Mockingbird" were particularly highly praised and have retrospectively been ranked as some of Eminem's best songs. These two songs were released along with three other singles: " Just Lose It", "Enc ...

Guest appearances include Obie Trice, D12, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, Dina Rae and Eminem's daughter, Hailie Jade. The album incorporates a heavier use of rap rock than Eminem's previous albums, and its themes are predominantly based on Eminem's prominence in hip-hop culture, as well as his ambivalent thoughts of fame. The album also features political commentary on the United States, including references to 9/11, Osama bin Laden, the war on terror, President George W. Bush, Lynne Cheney and Tipper Gore. Due to its less satirical and shock factor lyrical approach, ''The Eminem Show'' was regarded as Eminem's most personal album at the time and a step back from the Slim Shady alter ego.
