Premstätten
Premstätten is since January 2016 a new market town with 5,784 residents (as of 1 January 2016) in Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. However, it was previously founded in January 2015 as the town name "''Unterpremstätten-Zettling''". The municipality was founded as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, on 31 December 2014, from the dissolved independent municipalities Unterpremstätten and Zettling. One petition from the municipality Zettling against merging, at the Constitutional Court, was introduced but was unsuccessful. After a corresponding municipal council, the municipality carries since 2016 the name "Premstätten". Köflach Railway Line
The Köflach railway line () is a standard gauge railway line in the province of Styria in Austria. It runs from a junction with the Southern Railway (Austria), Southern railway line at Graz Hauptbahnhof to Köflach. (GKB) owns and operates the line. History The () was established in 1856 to construct a railway line from Köflach to Graz. The line opened for goods traffic on 3 April 1860; passenger service began on 1 November. The , which branches off south from the line at Lieboch, opened on 8 April 1873. Ownership of the line was transferred to Austrian Federal Railways, ÖBB in 2024 as part of plans to electrify and modernize both lines. Route The line originates at Graz Hauptbahnhof, on the west side of Graz, and runs south to Lieboch, where the Wieserbahn continues south. The Styria municipal structural reform (German: ''Steiermärkische Gemeindestrukturreform'') was a local government reform in the Austrian state of Styria, which was made effective January 1, 2015. The reform nearly halved the number of Styrian municipalities from 542 to 287. The reform was intended to reduce costs and ease election of new town officials. The terms of the reform is formalized in the Styrian Municipality Structural Reform Act. (StGsrG). The law was adopted on December 17, 2013 by the , and promulgated on April 2, 2014. Background As a result of the reform, the number of municipalities in Styria was reduced from 542 to 287 municipalities, a decrease of 255. Styria S-Bahn
The Styria S-Bahn (), initially also known as "Graz S-Bahn", is a local transport project that connects the metropolitan area of Graz and the central region of Upper Styria of the Austrian States of Austria, state of Styria. Köflach
Köflach is a small city in the district of Voitsberg (district), Voitsberg in the Austrian state of Styria, at the foot of the Stubalpe mountain. The town has a federal stud in the village of Piber that supplies the Lipizzaner horses to the famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Traditionally known for its coal mining, Köflach is slowly changing from an industrial town to a center of the service sector. It is connected by rail to Voitsberg. Graz Hauptbahnhof
Graz Hauptbahnhof, abbreviated Graz Hbf ( German for Graz Main Station; sometimes translated as Graz Central Station.), is the main railway station in Graz, the capital of the Austrian federal state Styria. The station is located some west of the city centre, to which it is connected by tram. It is the most frequented railway station in Austria, outside of Vienna. The station serves as a major node on the Southern Railway, which links it to Vienna in the north, and Slovenia in the south. It is also the terminus of the , which runs eastwards towards Hungary, and of the local Köflach railway line to the west. In the future, the Koralm Railway will provide a direct link from Graz to Italy via Klagenfurt.
