''Power to Play'' is the seventh studio album by English pop rock band McFly, released through BMG on 9 June 2023. The album was preceded by two singles: "Where Did All the Guitars Go?" and "God of Rock & Roll". Background and recording On 29 March 2023, McFly announced the album title and release date, following a series of cryptic social media posts. Describing the record, the band added: "At the start of the process, we all got together and said what we wanted this new album to be. We all had this one thing in common, and it was guitars. We love being on tour and playing live, and we hate this weird pressure where you don't get played on the radio if you have guitars in your songs ..Guitars, honesty, energy, all these personality traits are what give us the band's identity. McFly
McFly are an English pop rock music, pop rock band formed in London in 2003. The band took their name from the ''Back to the Future (franchise), Back to the Future'' character Marty McFly. The band consists of Tom Fletcher (lead vocals, guitar, and piano), Danny Jones (lead vocals, harmonica, and guitar), Dougie Poynter (bass guitar, vocals) and Harry Judd (drums). They were signed to Island Records from their 2004 launch until December 2007, before creating their own label, Super Records. McFly rose to fame after fellow band Busted (band), Busted, with whom they later formed McBusted, helped launch them by inviting them to tour in 2004. Rat Boy
Jordan Cardy (born 21 February 1996), known by his stage name Rat Boy, is an English musician from Chelmsford, Essex. Early life Cardy was born in Chelmsford, England on 21 February 1996. He studied at Chelmer Valley High School in Chelmsford and went on to study Art at Colchester Institute. Despite being dyslexic, he began writing songs in his spare time, releasing songs on SoundCloud under the name "Rat Boy", a name given to him by his school friends who claimed he looked like a rat. After college Cardy was hired and subsequently fired from Wetherspoons, which provided inspiration for his first release on SoundCloud, ''The Mixtape''. Career Rat Boy produced "The Mixtape", a 5 track mix on which he performed vocals, keyboard and bass, recorded in his own home. The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) is a non-profit association set up in 1999 to promote certain interests of the music industry in Ireland. Chris Sheldon (born 25 September 1962) is an English record producer, particularly of rock music based in London, England. He has produced or mixed records for the Foo Fighters, Garbage, Big Country, Feeder, Therapy?, Biffy Clyro, Oceansize, Pixies and Shed 7. He lives in London, is married and has two daughters. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering. Mastering requires critical listening; however, software tools exist to facilitate the process. Fresno is a Brazilian rock band formed in Porto Alegre in late 1999. As of 2020, members are Lucas Silveira (vocals, bass, rhythm guitar, keyboards), Gustavo Mantovani (lead guitar) and Thiago Guerra (drums).
