Port And Starboard (orcas)
Port and Starboard are a pair of adult male orcas notable for preying on great white sharks off the coast of South Africa. The duo are identified as having rare and distinct collapsed dorsal fins and they are named for the nautical terms, as Port's fin collapses left and Starboard's collapses right. Port and Starboard are part of a distinctive "flat-toothed" ecotype present around South Africa. Mossel Bay
Mossel Bay () is a harbour town of about 170,000 people on the Garden Route of South Africa. It is an important tourism and farming region of the Western Cape Province. Mossel Bay lies 400 kilometres east of the country's seat of parliament, Cape Town (which is also the capital city of the Western Cape), and 400 km west of Gqeberha, the largest city in the Eastern Cape. The copper shark (''Carcharhinus brachyurus''), bronze whaler, or narrowtooth shark is a species of requiem shark found mostly in temperate latitudes. Pearly Beach
Pearly Beach is a village in Overberg District Municipality in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. An area where the southern right whale (''Eubalaena australis'') comes to calve and mate along its migratory route (June – October). These whales can be seen with their young all along the coastline with Walker Bay just a short distance away. The area is home to the threatened African oystercatcher which can be seen on the rocky coasts, beaches and at lagoons eating limpets and mussels. Broadnose Sevengill Shark
The broadnose sevengill shark (''Notorynchus cepedianus'') is the only extant member of the genus ''Notorynchus'', in the family Hexanchidae. It is recognizable because of its seven gill slits, while most shark species have five gill slits, with the exception of the members of the order Hexanchiformes and the sixgill sawshark. This shark has a large, thick body, with a broad head and blunt snout. The top jaw has jagged, cusped teeth and the bottom jaw has comb-shaped teeth. Its single dorsal fin is set far back along the spine towards the caudal fin, and is behind the pelvic fins.
