The Philippine Senate Committee on Accounts is a standing committee of the Senate of the Philippines. Jurisdiction According to the Rules of the Senate, the committee handles all matters relating to the auditing and adjustment of all accounts chargeable against the funds for the expenses and activities of the Senate. 19th Congress Of The Philippines
The 19th Congress of the Philippines ( fil, Ikalabinsiyam na Kongreso ng Pilipinas), composed of the Philippine Senate and House of Representatives, convened on July 25, 2022. The 19th Congress is meeting during the first three years of Bongbong Marcos's presidency, and will end on June 4, 2025. The convening of the 19th Congress followed the 2022 general elections, which replaced half of the Senate membership and the entire membership of the House of Representatives. The House of Representatives continues to meet in the Batasang Pambansa Complex. The minority floor leader of the Senate, or simply the Senate minority floor leader, is the leader elected by the political party or coalition of parties that are not part of the majority bloc in the Senate of the Philippines. He serves as their official leader in the body and fulfills the responsibilities of a floor leader. He manages the business of the minority in the Senate. He is expected to defend the minority’s parliamentary rights, to criticize the policies and programs of the majority, and to use parliamentary tactics to defeat, pass, or amend legislation.
