Pervin Özdemir
Pervin Özdemir (born 1951 in İzmir) is a Turkish ceramics artist. She has taken drawing and history of art classes from Ali Riza Hiti. Has completed academy in 1971. In the 1980s she continued her art studies concentrating on ceramics at the Museum of Paintings and Sculpture in İzmir. In 1996, she completed studies in a ceramics workshop in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and researches in Köln and Amsterdam. Published articles on art of ceramics. During the same period, started to train students in the workshop she founded. She has prepared 25 solo exhibitions in many cities of Turkey and in Germany. Parvin State Park is a state park located in the southwestern part of New Jersey. Situated around Parvin Lake on the edge of the Pine Barrens, the park includes pine forests, hardwood forests, and swamps. The park is located near Pittsgrove Township in Salem County, and is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. Geography Parvin State Park is in Pittsgrove Township, Salem County, New Jersey, 5 miles west of Vineland, in an agricultural area. The largest lake in the park is Parvin Lake, which occupies much of the eastern corner of the park and into which flows a stream, the Muddy Run; there is a smaller lake, Thundergust Lake, to the south of Parvin Lake. Parvin Bridge
The Parvin Bridge is a covered bridge located in Lane County, Oregon, U.S. near Dexter. It was built in 1921 as a single-lane bridge across Lost Creek, a tributary of the Middle Fork Willamette River. The bridge was a replacement for a Howe truss design which failed a 1917 inspection by bridge inspector J. W. McArthur. He wrote, "An old bridge. Chords badly worm eaten. Downstream chord has been reinforced in middle by a timber bolted on. Wood is but little better than a powder from worm action. All signs indicate a new bridge in from 2 to 4 years." George W. Breeding constructed the present bridge at the same site in 1921 for $3,617, equivalent to $ today. It is also a Howe truss and includes a eastern approach and a western approach. Roadwork in the mid-1970s realigned the road to bypass the bridge, being accessible only to pedestrians afterwards. Alfred Parvin
Alfred William Parvin (31 December 1859 – 12 July 1916) was an English first-class cricketer. Parvin was born in Southampton in December 1859. He successfully undertook an apprenticeship in 1876 to become a second assistant master at a boys' school in Southampton. Parvin later made a single appearance in first-class cricket for Hampshire in a single first-class match against Kent at Tonbridge in 1885. Batting twice in the match, he was dismissed without scoring by Jimmy Wootton in Hampshire's first innings, while following-on in their second innings he was dismissed for 11 runs by the same bowler. In November 1885, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
