Four Tet
Kieran Miles David Hebden (born September 1977), known as Four Tet, is an English electronic musician. He came to prominence as a member of the post-rock band Fridge before establishing himself as a solo artist with charting and critically acclaimed albums such as '' Rounds'' (2003), '' Everything Ecstatic'' (2005) and '' There Is Love in You'' (2010). In addition to his twelve studio albums as Four Tet, Hebden's work includes a number of improvisational works with jazz drummer Steve Reid and collaborations with Burial and Thom Yorke. Alongside his own recordings, Hebden has produced albums by American improvisational group Sunburned Hand of the Man and Syrian dabke singer Omar Souleyman, and arranged the 2021 Madlib album '' Sound Ancestors''. Ambient House
Ambient house is a downtempo subgenre of house music that first emerged in the late 1980s, combining elements of acid house and ambient music. The genre developed in chill-out rooms and specialist clubs as part of the UK's dance music scene. It was most prominently pioneered by the Orb and the KLF, along with artists such as Global Communication, Irresistible Force, Youth, and 808 State. The term was used vaguely, and eventually fell out of favor as more specific subgenres were recognized. ''Three'' is the twelfth studio album by British electronic musician Four Tet. It was released on 15 March 2024 through Text Records. Background and singles After the release of two solo albums in 2020, the musician collaborated with other artists, including Madlib, Skrillex and Fred Again, and fought a legal battle with the Domino Recording Company concerning streaming royalties in 2021 and 2022. Returning to solo endeavours, Hebden released the lead single of his forthcoming album "Three Drums" on 27 April 2023, "a wall of electronic noise" supported by a "laid back beat" and a hint of "early 90s hip-hop". The opening track "Loved" was released on 10 January 2024 and features a "slowed, mellow drum beat" combined with "soft keyboard sounds".
