Outlaw (1999 Film)
''Outlaw'' ( it, Ormai è fatta!) is a 1999 Italian drama film directed by Enzo Monteleone. It is based on the book by the Italian anarchist Horst Fantazzini. It was entered into the 21st Moscow International Film Festival. Plot On July 23, 1973, in the prison of Fossano, Piedmont, the young Horst Fantazzini, detained with a sentence of 22 years, decides that the time has come to try to escape. However, the operation soon turns out to be more difficult than expected, and Horst is forced to take two guards hostage. At this point the jailbreak can be said to have failed in practice, but Horst certainly has no intention of giving up. Enzo Monteleone (born 13 April 1954 in Padova, Italy) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. Career Enzo Monteleone made his professional debut as a screenwriter with the screenplay of ''Hotel Colonial'', an Italian-American co-production directed by Cinzia TH Torrini, and starring Robert Duvall, John Savage, Rachel Ward and Massimo Troisi. He has written four screenplays for director Gabriele Salvatores: ''Kamikazen'', ''Marrakech Express'', '' Mediterraneo'', which won an Oscar in 1992 for Best Foreign Film, and ''Puerto Escondido,'' as well as films for such directors as Carlo Mazzacurati, Giuseppe Piccioni, Alessandro D'Alatri, Maurizio Sciarra and Carlos Saura ('' ¡Dispara!'', starring Antonio Banderas and Francesca Neri.) Antonio Catania (born 22 February 1952) is an Italian actor. Life and career Born in Acireale, Province of Catania, Antonio Catania studied acting at the Drama School of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. After the graduation he started an intense stage career, often working with Gabriele Salvatores with the stage company Compagnia dell'Elfo. After several minor roles, in the 1990s Catania started obtaining more significant roles, in films directed by Silvio Soldini, Carlo Verdone, Leone Pompucci, Nanni Moretti and the same Salvatores. Francesco Guccini (, born 14 June 1940) is an Italian singer-songwriter, considered one of the most important '' cantautori'' of his time. During the five decades of his music career he has recorded 16 studio albums and collections, and 6 live albums. He is also a writer, having published autobiographic and noir novels, and a comics writer. Guccini also worked as actor, soundtrack composer, lexicographer and dialectologist. Guccini moved to Pàvana during World War II, then returned to Modena where he spent his teenage years and established his musical career. Paolo Graziosi (25 January 1940 – 1 February 2022) was an Italian stage and film actor. Biography Born in Rimini, Graziosi was rejected for the admission exams at the Academy of Dramatic Arts Silvio D'Amico in 1961. He then enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. In theater, after a period of apprenticeship, he had his first break in 1965 with the role of Mercutio in a famous version of '' Romeo and Juliet'' directed by Franco Zeffirelli.
