''Old Heidelberg'' () is a 1959 West German drama film directed by Ernst Marischka and starring Christian Wolff, Gert Fröbe and Sabine Sinjen. It is an adaptation of the 1901 play '' Old Heidelberg'' by Wilhelm Meyer-Förster. Ernst Marischka
Ernst Marischka (2 January 1893 – 12 May 1963) was an Austrian screenwriter and film director. He wrote for more than 90 films between 1913 and 1962. He also directed 29 films between 1915 and 1962. He wrote and directed the Sissi trilogy - '' Sissi'' (1955), '' Sissi - The Young Empress'' (1956) and ''Sissi - Schicksalsjahre einer Kaiserin'' (1957). The films were based on the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria. He was the brother of Hubert Marischka. He was named for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 1946, for ''A Song to Remember'' (1945). Hannelore Elsner
Hannelore Elsner (; born Hannelore Elstner; 26 July 1942 – 21 April 2019) was a German actress with a long career in television and film. She first performed on stage in Munich, and later starred in popular films and television series such as ''Die Schwarzwaldklinik'' (''The Black Forest Clinic''), and as the lead character, Inspector Lea Sommer, in the series '' Die Kommissarin''. She was recognized internationally for her lead role in the 2000 film ''Die Unberührbare'' ('' No Place to Go''), shown at the Cannes Film Festival. Harry Meyen
Harry Meyen (born Harald Haubenstock; 31 August 1924 – 15 April 1979) was a German film actor. He appeared in more than 40 films and television productions between 1948 and 1975. In the 1960s he also worked as a theatre director in West Germany. Personal life Meyen was born in Hamburg, the son of a Jewish merchant who was deported to a concentration camp during the Nazi regime. The 18-year-old Meyen himself was incarcerated as a ''Mischling'' and survived the Neuengamme concentration camp. After the war, he began his career with Willy Maertens at the Hamburg Thalia Theater. From 1952 he performed at the Theater Aachen and from 1955 moved to Berlin.
