Ohio Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball tournament is the conference championship tournament in women's basketball for the Ohio Valley Conference. It is a single-elimination tournament involving 8 of the 10 league schools, and seeding is based on regular-season records with head-to-head matchup as a tiebreaker. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA women's basketball tournament. The highest seeds face off against the corresponding lowest seeds, with the two remaining teams facing off in the Finals to determine the champion. The tournament has been held since 1981. History For the 1978-79 season, a tournament was held to determine the champion of the conference, though it was not a postseason tournament due to it being held from February 8–10, with the season running until March 9. 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2013 Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball tournament was held March 6 - March 9 at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The University of Tennessee at Martin received the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA tournament. Format The tournament is an eight team tournament with the third and fourth seeds receiving a first round bye and the two divisional winners receiving byes through to the semifinals. The top team in each division, based on conference winning percentage, automatically earns a berth into the OVC Tournament. The next six teams with the highest conference winning percentage also earn a bid, regardless of division. The 1st seed goes to the divisional winner with the higher conference winning percentage, while the No. 2 seed automatically goes to the other divisional winner. The Eastern Illinois Panthers women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, United States. The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks women's basketball team, also formerly known as the Southeast Missouri State Otahkians, represents Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Kentucky International Convention Center
The Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC), formerly called the Commonwealth Convention Center, is a large multi-use facility in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. The KICC, along with the Kentucky Exposition Center, hosts conventions for the Louisville area. It was built on the site of the Tyler Block and opened in 1977. The facility underwent a major renovation from 2016 to 2018, seeking more space and a more inviting presence. While the convention center does not have a permanent arena, it has hosted various sporting events, including the 2002 Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball tournament and the NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament from 1995 to 2000. The UT Martin Skyhawks women's basketball team is the team that represents the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, Tennessee, United States.
