Oceana Mahlmann (born 23 January 1982) is a German singer. Her musical roots are embedded in Soul music, soul, reggae, hip hop, and funk. Biography Oceana was raised by her mother, a German ''haute couture'' designer. Her father was a disc jockey, DJ from Martinique. The funk legend Maceo Parker is a close family friend and as a young child she performed with him on stage. In her teens, she established herself as a dancer and choreographer. She performed in the role of Aida in the musical ''Aida (musical), Aida'' by Tim Rice and Elton John. She was also the vocal soloist in the musical version of ''Dirty Dancing'' by Eleanor Bergstein. In 2006, she was the choreographer of the German chart-breaking band Seeed. In 2008, she signed to Warner Bros. Records, Warner to establish herself as a singer-songwriter. ''Lilith'' is the third album by the American heavy metal band Butcher Babies. It was released on October 27, 2017, through Century Media Records and was produced by Steve Evetts. It is the band's first release with drummer Chase Brickenden and their final release with bassist Jason Klein before his departure from the band in 2019. The album reached number 11 on the ''Billboard'' Independent Albums chart, and number 15 on the ''Billboard'' Hard Rock Albums chart. Miss Oceana (1981–1988) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who won six Grade 1 stakes during her racing career and was sold for a World Record price as a broodmare. Background Bred and raced by Mark Hardin's and the Schwab families' Newstead Farm of Upperville, Virginia, Miss Oceana was sired by U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee Alydar. Her dam was the good racing mare Kittiwake, who was owned by Mark Hardin's stepmother, Katherine Bliss Hardin. 224 Oceana is an asteroid from the asteroid belt. It was discovered by Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa on 30 March 1882, in Vienna. It was named after the Pacific Ocean. Based upon its spectrum, it is classified as an M-type asteroid, but is not metallic. Oceana (nightclub)
Oceana, also known as The Ocean, was a chain of nightclubs in the United Kingdom owned and managed by Deltic Group. The last club in Southampton closed in June 2021. This decision was made by Rekom after review of the struggling chain during the Covid-19 pandemic. There were also venues in Plymouth, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Kingston, Watford, Leeds and Nottingham, however these have been converted to Pryzm nightclubs, another Deltic chain. There were also venues in Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Swansea, however they have since closed. The Swansea branch closed its doors for the last time in the early hours of 31 May 2014. Oceana has effectively since then been renamed to PRYZM as most of the former Oceana clubs have been reopened under the name PRYZM, which is also managed and owned by Rekom UK (the parent company of Deltic Group).
