Octávio Mateus
Octávio Mateus (born 1975) is a Portugal, Portuguese dinosaur paleontologist and biologist Professor of Paleontology at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da NOVA University Lisbon, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He graduated in University of Évora, Universidade de Évora and received his PhD at Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2005. He collaborates with Museu da Lourinhã, known for their dinosaur collection. His PhD advisor was Miguel Telles Antunes. He is an expert on dinosaurs, particularly Late Jurassic dinosaurs of Portugal, but he has also worked with specimens from Angola, the United States, USA, Greenland, China and Morocco. Draconyx
''Draconyx'' (meaning "dragon claw") is a genus of dinosaur from the Late Jurassic. It was an Ornithopoda, ornithopod which lived in what is now Portugal and was a herbivore. It was found in the Lourinhã Formation in 1991, and described by Octávio Mateus and Miguel Telles Antunes in 2001 in paleontology, 2001. Etymology The type species, known from only partial remains, is ''Draconyx loureiroi''. The generic name is derived from Latin ''draco'', "dragon", and Ancient Greek ὄνυξ, ''onyx'', "claw". The specific name (zoology), specific name is in honour of João de Loureiro, a Portuguese jesuit priest, a pioneer in Portuguese palaeontology. Philippe Taquet
Philippe Taquet (born 25 April 1940 Saint-Quentin, Aisne) is a French paleontologist who specializes in dinosaur systematics of finds primarily in northern Africa. He is a member of the French Academy of Sciences since 30 November 2004, president since 2012. He has studied and described a number of new dinosaur species from Africa, especially from the Aptian site of Gadoufaoua in Niger (such as '' Ouranosaurus''). He also researches the Lower Cretaceous stratigraphic relationship between western Africa and Brazil by reconstructing the paleobiology from fossil floras and faunas. He was president of the French National Museum of Natural History from 1985 to 1990. The French National Museum of Natural History ( ; abbr. MNHN) is the national natural history museum of France and a of higher education part of Sorbonne University. The main museum, with four galleries, is located in Paris, France, within the Jardin des Plantes on the left bank of the River Seine. It was formally founded in 1793, during the French Revolution, but was begun even earlier in 1635 as the royal garden of medicinal plants. The museum now has 14 sites throughout France. Issi
''Issi'' (meaning "cold" in Greenlandic language, Greenlandic) is a Plateosauridae, plateosaurid dinosaur described in 2021 from the Late Triassic Fleming Fjord Formation of Greenland. It contains one species, ''Issi saaneq''; the full binomial name means "cold bone". Fossils of ''Issi'' were previously assigned to the species ''Plateosaurus trossingensis'', but new finds allowed for a reassessment of that material that showed that it possessed features thought to be exclusive to Brazilian sauropodomorphs such as ''Unaysaurus'' and ''Macrocollum''. This ultimately led to the designation of ''Issi'' as a distinct genus. ''Issi'' is the first non-avian dinosaur described from Greenland.
