Norway In The Eurovision Song Contest 2012
Norway participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Norwegian entry was selected through Melodi Grand Prix 2012, a national selection consisting of three semi-finals and a final, organised by the Norwegian broadcaster NRK. Tooji represented Norway with the song "Stay", which qualified from the second semi-final and went on to place 26th (last) in the final, scoring 7 points. Before Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix 2012 ''Melodi Grand Prix 2012'' was the 50th edition of the Norwegian national final ''Melodi Grand Prix'' and selected Norway's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Tooji
Touraj Keshtkar ( fa, تورج کشتکار; born 26 May 1987), known professionally as Tooji, is a Norwegian singer, painter, model and television host. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan and finished 26th (last) in the final. Beginning with his single "Cocktail", he also started using the kanji characters () in his artistic identity. Career Tooji Keshtkar was born in Shiraz, Iran, and moved to Norway when he was one year old. At the age of 16, he started modelling. Afterwards, he started working on MTV Norway where he presented "Super Saturday" and "Tooji's Top 10". He was also educated as a social worker and has worked in asylum reception centres. He now works as a child protection consultant in the department of after-care. Bobby Bare
Robert Joseph Bare Sr. (born April 7, 1935) is an American country music singer and songwriter, best known for the songs " Marie Laveau", " Detroit City" and " 500 Miles Away from Home". He is the father of Bobby Bare Jr., also a musician. Early career In the 1950s, Bare repeatedly tried and failed to sell his songs. He finally got a record deal, with Capitol Records, and recorded a few unsuccessful rock and roll singles. Just before he was drafted into the United States Army, he wrote a song called "The All American Boy" and did a demo for his friend, Bill Parsons, to learn how to record. Eivind Rølles
Eivind Rølles (15 March 1959 Bestum in Oslo — 18 March 2013) was a Norwegian musician (guitar) best known for his time with pop duo The Monroes. prior to this, he was a member of the bands Broadway News and PVC. Biography Rølles was repertoar and recording manager and marketing director of the Norwegian departments of the multinational record companies BMG and EMI for several years, and otherwise later worked in the firm Impress. Christian Ingebrigtsen (born 25 January 1977) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter and musician. He is a member of the pop group A1. Biography Ingebrigtsen was born in Oslo, Norway, into a musical family. His father Stein Ingebrigtsen was the biggest selling recording artist in Norway in the 1970s. Malin Reitan
Malin (born Malin Reitan; 8 August 1995 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian singer. She finished 3rd in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with her song "''Sommer og skolefri''". She is also a recording artist with several released albums. Malin sings in her regional dialect. Biography Malin's career as a singer started when she was nine years old. She auditioned for the Norwegian selection for JESC 2005, the Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2005, and she was selected to sing among ten contestants in the final show.
