No Apologies (Trapt Album)
''No Apologies'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band Trapt. ''No Apologies'' was released on October 12, 2010, with Eleven Seven Music label. ''No Apologies'' debuted on the US ''Billboard'' 200 at number 25, selling around 15,000 copies. The first single is " Sound Off". A deluxe edition of the album was released with a bonus DVD exclusively at Best Buy. It is the band's first album to feature guitarist Robb Torres after original guitarist Simon Ormandy left the band in 2008. It is also their last album to feature drummer Aaron "Monty" Montgomery. Critical reception A writer for Alternative Addiction noted how a majority of the album leans more towards rock than the pop aesthetics of the band's self-titled debut, commending Robb Torres' guitar work for being an admirable replacement for Simon Ormandy and Chris Taylor Brown for his catchy lyrical hooks. Gregory Heaney of AllMusic said that the record contains "a heavier, harder-edged sound" while still retaining the ...

Judge (band)
Judge is a New York hardcore band formed in 1987 by Youth of Today guitarist John "Porcell" Porcelly and former Youth of Today drummer Mike "Judge" Ferraro. History Their first release was a 7" EP on Porcell's label Schism (which he ran along with Side by Side/Gorilla Biscuits guitar player Alex Brown) entitled '' New York Crew''. The record featured five songs, one of which was a cover of "Warriors" by the British oi!/punk band Blitz. On this recording, the band was merely a two-piece, featuring Porcelly on bass and guitar, and Ferraro on vocals and drums. But with the addition of bass-player Jimmy Yu (of Mike's former band Death Before Dishonor, which eventually evolved into Supertouch) and drummer "Lukey" Luke Abbey ( Warzone/Gorilla Biscuits), they got together a fully functional live line-up. The band received much criticism due to their militant straight edge lyrics, especially from fanzines like San Francisco's Maximum Rock'N'Roll. The militant lyrics were a cons ...

Taming The Tiger
''Taming the Tiger'' is the sixteenth studio album by the Canadian musician Joni Mitchell. Released on September 29, 1998 through Reprise Records, it is the follow-up to the successful ''Turbulent Indigo'' (1994). The album was, at the time, widely believed to be her last of completely original material; this would be disproved with the release of '' Shine'' in 2007. Contributors to ''Taming the Tiger'' include Larry Klein on bass and Wayne Shorter on saxophone. The album combines the jazz stylings of much of her work with a textured, ambient-esque sound, indebted to her use of the Roland VG-8 virtual guitar system. ''Taming the Tiger'' did not achieve the same level of success as its predecessor, peaking at number 86 in Mitchell's native Canada and number 75 in the US. However, it received positive reviews from critics and was considered a continuation of a return to form which started with '' Night Ride Home'' (1991). Background ''Taming the Tiger'' features prominent use o ...

Underclass Hero
''Underclass Hero'' is the fourth studio album by Canadian rock band Sum 41. It is the first of two albums by the band recorded without guitarist Dave Baksh since he left a year earlier to focus on Brown Brigade. The album was recorded as a three-piece. It was first released on July 18, 2007, in Japan by Island Records and distributed worldwide by Aquarius Records. There are no photos of the band inside the liner notes, though the front cover features a monochrome image of vocalist Deryck Whibley spitting in a hallway. In comparison to the heavy metal-inspired punk style of ''Chuck'', ''Underclass Hero ''marked a return to the band’s signature pop-punk sound. The album’s lyrical content, while not written as a rock opera, is loosely tied conceptually, with the album’s lyrics focusing on subjects such as politics, religion, family life, and the romance between Deryck and his wife at the time, Avril Lavigne. The album was a commercial success, peaking at number 1 on the Ca ...
