Nizlopi
Nizlopi were a British folk and alternative duo formed in Leamington Spa, England, by Luke Concannon on vocals, guitar, and bodhrán, and John Parker on double bass, human beatbox, and backing vocals. History Formation The duo grew up in Leamington Spa and attended Trinity Catholic School together. They formed a band and would make up the reason for the name including naming it after a Hungarian girl on whom Concannon had a crush at school. They started out performing throughout England, building a small but loyal fan base. Future musical artist and performer Ed Sheeran was their guitar technician at many of their early shows and has stated they were a major influence on his musical style. JCB (song)
"JCB" (or "JCB Song") is a song by English folk music duo Nizlopi, written by members Luke Concannon and John Parker. Concannon wrote the lyric at his parents' house, drawing inspiration from his father, Kieron Concannon, and later composed the song with Parker. The theme of the song's lyric stems from a moment in Concannon's childhood when his father picked him up from school in a JCB (heavy equipment manufacturer), JCB backhoe loader, digger (or backhoe loader) and his reflections on how his peers bullying, bullied him for having dyslexia. The song tells the story of a similar boy who is fascinated with both his father and the vehicle on which they ride. He imagines his father as a hero, comparing him to several famous figures such as Bruce Lee and B. A. Baracus, and pretends to torment bullying on the playground as a ''Tyrannosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex''. Trinity Catholic School
Trinity Catholic School is a mixed Catholic secondary school and sixth form located in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England. Following an Ofsted inspection in 2009, the school was given a Grade 3 (satisfactory) rating for its overall performance.
