Nevada's 4th congressional district is a List of United States congressional districts, congressional district that was created as a result of the 2010 United States Census. Located in the central portion of the state, it includes most of northern Clark County, Nevada, Clark County, southern Lyon County, Nevada, Lyon County and all of Esmeralda County, Esmeralda, Lincoln County, Nevada, Lincoln, Mineral County, Nevada, Mineral, Nye County, Nevada, Nye and White Pine County, Nevada, White Pine counties. Although the district appears rural, over 80% of its population lives in the heavily Democratic northern portion of Clark County. As a result, the district leans Democratic at the federal level. The district has flipped between Democratic and Republican representation since it was created. North Las Vegas, Nevada
North Las Vegas is a suburban city in Clark County, Nevada, United States, in the Las Vegas Valley. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 216,961, with an estimated population of 251,974 in 2019. The city was incorporated on May 1, 1946. It is the fourth largest city in the state of Nevada. The 2012 United States presidential election was the 57th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Incumbent Democratic President Barack Obama and his running mate, incumbent Vice President Joe Biden, were re-elected to a second term. They defeated the Republican ticket of businessman and former Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts and Representative Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. Mesquite, Nevada
Mesquite is a city in Clark County, Nevada, United States adjacent to the Arizona state line and northeast of Las Vegas on Interstate 15. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 20,471. The city is located in the Virgin River valley adjacent to the Virgin Mountains in the northeastern part of the Mojave Desert. It is home to a growing retirement community, as well as several casino resorts and golf courses. History Mesquite was settled by Mormon pioneers in 1880, who called it ''Mesquite Flat''. The community was finally established on the third attempt after having been flooded out from the waters of the Virgin River. Esmeralda County, Nevada
Esmeralda County is a county in the southwestern portion of the U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 census, the population was 729, making it the least populous county in Nevada. Esmeralda County does not have any incorporated communities. Its county seat is the town of Goldfield. Its 2000 census population density of was the second-lowest of any county in the contiguous United States (above Loving County, Texas). Its school district does not have a high school, so students in grades 9–12 go to school in Tonopah, in the Nye County School District. The 2020 United States presidential election was the 59th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
