The highway connects Pacolet and Gaffney with the more rural areas of Spartanburg and Cherokee counties. Route description SC 150 is a two-lane rural highway. South Carolina Highway 113 (SC 113) is a state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway connects rural areas of Aiken and Lexington counties with Wagener. Route description SC 113 begins at an intersection with SC 394 (Salley Road) west of Salley, within Aiken County, where the roadway continues as South Dixie Road. It travels to the north-northwest and immediately curves to the north-northeast before crossing over Dean Swamp Creek. SC 113 curves back to the north-northwest. Interstate 26 (I-26) is a main route of the Interstate Highway System in the Southeastern United States. Nominally east–west, as indicated by its even number, I-26 runs from the junction of U.S. Route 11W (US 11W) and US 23 in Kingsport, Tennessee, generally southeastward to US 17 in Charleston, South Carolina. Roebuck is a census-designated place (CDP) in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,200 at the 2010 census. History The community was named for Revolutionary War Officer, Benjamin Roebuck. Roebuck is home to the Walnut Grove Plantation, a preserved 18th-century farmhouse and tourist attraction. One of the daughters of the original owners, Kate Moore, was a scout for General Daniel Morgan during the Battle of Cowpens. Moore is an unincorporated community in Spartanburg County in the U.S. state of South Carolina. Geography Moore is located in the Upstate region of South Carolina. Moore is located south of Spartanburg on U.S. Route 221 and is one mile west of Interstate 26. Historical Sites Moore is home to two historical houses. South Carolina Highway 92 (SC 92) is a state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway connects Gray Court with the Enoree area. Route description SC 92 begins at an intersection with SC 101 (East Mill Street) in Gray Court within Laurens County. Lyman, South Carolina
Lyman is a town in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. Its population was 6,173 at the 2020 census. History The town of Lyman originally grew around a general store owned by Augustus Belton Groce, which opened in the mid-1870s. This led to the community becoming known as Groce's Stop. In 1923, the Groce family sold over to Pacific Mills. By the following year the Lyman Printing and Finishing Mill had been constructed, and by 1927, Pacific Mills had built 375 homes as housing for their employees. The town was then renamed in memory of Arthur T. Lyman, a former president of the mill. Lyman prospered for years as a textile town, but by 2005 the last mill was closed. The Pacific Mills company kept up their employees' houses, the streets and the back alleys.
