Virginia State Route 3 is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia that extends from the town of Culpeper south and eastwardly to Gloucester in Virginia's Middle Peninsula region. For many years, a portion was named "Historyland Highway". Route description Gloucester to Kilmarnock SR 3 begins in the community of Gloucester Courthouse, the unincorporated county seat of Gloucester County, on Virginia's Middle Peninsula, at a three-way junction with U.S. Route 17 Business and SR 14. State Route 227 (SR 227) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. Known for much of its length as Urbanna Road, the state highway runs from SR 33 near Saluda north to SR 602 in Urbanna in central Middlesex County. Route description SR 227 begins at an intersection with SR 33 (Lewis Puller Memorial Highway) east of Saluda. The state highway heads north as two-lane undivided Urbanna Road, which passes through a mix of forest and farmland. SR 227 crosses Urbanna Creek, a tributary of the Rappahannock River, into the town of Urbanna and veers west onto Watling Street. The state highway makes a right-angle turn north onto Cross Street and, two blocks later, a right-angle turn west onto Virginia Street. SR 227 follows Virginia Street west to its western terminus at the western town limit of Urbanna west of Waverly Road. Deltaville, Virginia
Deltaville is a small unincorporated community and census-designated place on the eastern tip of Middlesex County in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Virginia. It is known for being a vacation spot for those looking for sailing, fishing, and other activities associated with the water. Urbanna is a town in Middlesex County, Virginia, United States. Urbanna means “City of Anne” and was named in honor of England's Queen Anne. The population was 476 at the 2010 census. Geography Urbanna is located at (37.637796, −76.573149). Saluda, Virginia
Saluda is a census-designated place (CDP) in and the county seat of Middlesex County, Virginia, United States. The population as of the 2010 Census was 769. The Middlesex County Courthouse was built between 1850 and 1874 by architects William R. Jones and John P. Hill, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. A new courthouse complex was built in the 2003–2004 time-frame, but the opening was stalled due to various construction problems, leading to a legal dispute between the County board and the contractor.
