The Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (a.k.a. NJUCM, ), is located in Nanjing, capital of China's Jiangsu province. It is jointly constructed by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People's Republic of China. Established in 1954, NJUCM is one of the earliest established universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. And 1st rank in Traditional Chinese Medicine university in China dedicated to the study of traditional Chinese medicine. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First Class University, included in the state Double First Class University Plan. The university has two campuses, Xianlin and Hanzhongmen, currently (as of 2018) it has nearly 20,000 enrolled students, including a number of international students. Hanyu Pinyin (), often shortened to just pinyin, is the official romanization system for Standard Chinese, Standard Mandarin Chinese in China, and to some extent, in Singapore and Malaysia. Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an alternative medical practice drawn from traditional medicine in China. It has been described as "fraught with pseudoscience", with the majority of its treatments having no logical mechanism of action. Medicine in traditional China encompassed a range of sometimes competing health and healing practices, folk beliefs, literati theory and Confucian philosophy, herbal remedies, food, diet, exercise, medical specializations, and schools of thought. Chen Guangcheng
Chen Guangcheng (born November 12, 1971) is a Chinese civil rights activist who has worked on human rights issues in rural areas of the People's Republic of China. Blind from an early age and self-taught in the law, Chen is frequently described as a "barefoot lawyer" who advocates for women's rights, land rights, and the welfare of the poor. In 2005, Chen gained international recognition for organising a landmark class-action lawsuit against authorities in Linyi, Shandong province, for the excessive enforcement of the one-child policy. As a result of this lawsuit, Chen was placed under house arrest from September 2005 to March 2006, with a formal arrest in June 2006. Lang Yongchun (; born 23 July 1971) is a former Chinese news anchor best known for his work at China Central Television (CCTV), the main state broadcaster of China. He was best known in China as the announcer for the 7:00 pm CCTV News program ''Xinwen Lianbo'', between 2011 and 2015.
