''Now with Alex Wagner'' (stylized ''NOW'') is a political opinion program on MSNBC presented by progressive host Alex Wagner. The show debuted on November 14, 2011, and aired on weekdays at noon ET. Starting on January 13, 2014, ''Now'' aired at 4 P.M. due to the resignation of former MSNBC host Martin Bashir. On July 30, 2015, MSNBC President, Phil Griffin announced that the series had been cancelled in an effort to transition the network's daytime programming to more breaking news reporting and less political commentary and opinion. ''Now That's What I Call Music!'' (often shortened to ''Now!'') is a series of various artists compilation albums released in the United Kingdom and Ireland by Sony Music and Universal Music (Universal/Sony Music) which began in 1983. Spinoff series began for other countries the following year, starting with South Africa, and many other countries worldwide soon followed, expanding into Asia in 1995, then the United States in 1998. The compilation series was conceived in the office of Virgin Records in London and took its name from a 1920s British advertising poster for Danish Bacon featuring a pig saying "Now. That's What I Call Music" as it listened to a chicken singing. Richard Branson, owner of Virgin, had bought the poster for his cousin, Simon Draper, to hang behind Draper's desk at the Virgin Records office. Nightmares On Wax
George Evelyn (born 15 January 1970), better known by his stage name Nightmares on Wax or DJ E.A.S.E., is an English DJ and record producer from Leeds. His music has been released by Warp Records. He is based in Ibiza. Nightmares on Wax were originally a group consisting of Evelyn and John Halnon, and then later with Kevin Harper. Early life George Evelyn was born in Leeds. His father and sister introduced him to the soul music of Quincy Jones and Curtis Mayfield. Later, he was fascinated by the hip hop tracks such as " Rapper's Delight" and "Buffalo Gals". Career Nightmares on Wax was originally formed in 1988 by George Evelyn as a group project with John Halnon, and later with Kevin Harper. The Tripsichord Music Box was an American psychedelic rock group of the 1960s. The Now
The Now are an English punk rock group from Peterborough, England. Whilst never officially disbanding, they ceased recording and performing in 1979. In 2004, The Now recorded all of their original material and released as the '' Fuzztone Fizzadelic'' album in 2005 on the Damaged Goods record label. Career The Now, founded by Mike McGuire and Steve Rolls late in 1976, were Peterborough's first punk rock band. Mike and Steve were at the time performing with The Faderz, who had only existed for a few months, before they had hooked into the London Punk scene in 1976. Joe MacColl and Paul Wicks (aka The Dangerous Dip or occasionally The Mysterious Dip) were recruited immediately to form The Now. ''The Now'' newspaper, also referred to as ''Surrey Now'', was a tabloid established in 1984 that publishes twice a week with local news on Surrey, North Delta and White Rock in the Canadian province of British Columbia. In 2015, Glacier Media sold ''The Now'' to Black Press. Also in 2015, Now reporter Amy Reid received the S. Tara Singh Hayer journalism award due to work highlighting needs of homeless people.
