The Town of Norway is located in Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 7,916 at the 2020 census. The census-designated place of Wind Lake is in the town. The unincorporated communities of North Cape and Union Church are also located partially in the town. ''Norway'' () is a 2014 Greek black comedy horror film written and directed by Yannis Veslemes, who also composed its score under the alias Felizol. Set in 1984, the film stars Vangelis Mourikis as a hedonistic vampire named Zano, who arrives in Athens and becomes involved in an elaborate plot with a couple he meets at a disco club. ''Norway'' premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic on 7 July 2014. Production Development Writer-director Yannis Veslemes described the character of Zano as "A vampire that combines everything I love and hate about New Greeks." Norway Pavilion At Epcot
The Norway Pavilion is a Norwegian-themed pavilion that is part of the World Showcase, within Epcot at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida, United States. Its location is between the Mexico and China pavilions. Layout The Norway Pavilion is designed to look like a Norwegian village. The village includes a detailed reproduction Stave church, with a statue of Olaf II Haraldsson out front, and the exterior of its main table-service restaurant, Restaurant Akershus, resembles its namesake in Oslo. The exhibit showcases 4 styles of Norwegian architecture: Setesdal-style, Bergen-style, Oslo-style and Ålesund-style. Much of the pavilion is taken up by interconnected shops. These shops are decorated with large wooden trolls and sell assorted Norwegian goods, including clothing, candy, and statuettes of Norse gods and trolls. ''Picea abies'', the Norway spruce or European spruce, is a species of spruce native to Northern, Central and Eastern Europe. It has branchlets that typically hang downwards, and the largest cones of any spruce, 9–17 cm long. It is very closely related to the Siberian spruce (''Picea obovata''), which replaces it east of the Ural Mountains, and with which it hybridizes freely. ''Pinus resinosa'', known as red pine (also Norway pine in Minnesota), is a pine native to Eastern North America. Description Red pine is a coniferous evergreen tree characterized by tall, straight growth. It usually ranges from in height and in trunk diameter, exceptionally reaching tall. The crown is conical, becoming a narrow rounded dome with age. The bark is thick and gray-brown at the base of the tree, but thin, flaky and bright orange-red in the upper crown; the tree's name derives from this distinctive character. "Norway" is a song by American dream pop band Beach House, from their third studio album, ''Teen Dream''. The song was released on January 18, 2010, with "Baby" as its B-side. The song was released as a free download on the band's site on November 17, 2009, before its commercial release. Critical reception "Norway" received very positive reviews from contemporary music critics. The song was chosen upon release as Pitchfork Media's "Best New Track". Aaron Leitko stated that, "'Norway', the lead track from ''Teen Dream'', the duo's Sub Pop debut, raises the temperature a few degrees. A percussive intro yields to an explosion of twinkling guitars and a chorus of woozy backing vocals. Nevil Shute Norway (17 January 189912 January 1960) was an English novelist and aeronautical engineer who spent his later years in Australia. He used his full name in his engineering career and Nevil Shute as his pen name to protect his engineering career from inferences by his employers (Vickers) or from fellow engineers that he was "not a serious person" or from potentially adverse publicity in connection with his novels, which included '' On the Beach'' and ''A Town Like Alice''.
