Negative (Serbian Band)
Negative () is a Serbian rock band formed in Belgrade in 1999. Fronted by vocalist Ivana Peters (née Pavlović), the band enjoyed large popularity and was one of the most notable acts of the Serbian rock scene during the 2000s. History 1999-2015 Negative was formed in the spring of 1999, during the NATO bombing of FR Yugoslavia, by Ivana Pavlović (vocals), Nikola Radaković (guitar), Vladimir "Grle" Đurđević (guitar), Milen Zlatanović (bass guitar) and Miloš Bilanović (drums). Pavlović started her career in the early 1990s as a member of rap group Who Is The Best, and from 1994 to 1999 she was a member of the pop group Tap 011, recording three albums with them. Negative released their debut self-titled album in 1999. The album was mostly power pop-oriented. Beovizija
''Beovizija'' () was a music festival established in 2003. Since 2007 it was the national selection for Serbia's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. ''Beovizija'' was organised and broadcast live each year by RTS1, on RTRS in Bosnia, and internationally on Eurovision.tv and RTS SAT as of 2008. It was held during February and March at Belgrade's Sava Centar, and in RTS studios in 2019 and 2020. Kiki Lesendrić
Zoran "Kiki" Lesendrić ( sr-Cyrl, Зоран "Кики" Лесендрић) is a Serbian rock musician, most notable as the founding member of the rock band Piloti. Early career With Piloti he released a number of albums in the former Yugoslavia in the 1980s and 1990s, with the final album released in 1996. He also composed hits for other musicians, most notably the hit "Kolačići" for Marina Perazić in 1987, and "Barakuda" for Viktorija in 1988. Recently he released his first solo album, ''Mesec na vratima'' ("Moon at the Door"). Later career In 2011, he composed the music to two songs on Lepa Brena's album '' Začarani krug''. Nikola Vukčević ( sr-Cyrl, Никола Вукчевић; born in Podgorica, SR Montenegro, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Montenegrin film director. Bandoneon
The bandoneon () or bandonion is a type of concertina particularly popular in Argentina and Uruguay. It is a typical instrument in most tango ensembles. As with other members of the concertina family, it is held between the hands, and played by pulling and pushing air through bellows, routing it through sets of tuned metal reeds by pressing the instrument's buttons. Unlike most accordions, bandoneons always employ the same sets of reeds to produce their sound, and do not usually have the register switches common on accordions. Nevertheless, the bandoneon can be played very expressively, using various bellows pressures and other techniques. Tango (Negative Album)
''Tango'' is the third studio album from Serbian rock band Negative (pop/rock band), Negative. The album was released in 2004 after Negative won the festival Beovizija and ended up 4th in the final selection of Serbia and Montenegro's Eurovision Song Contest representative with the song "Zbunjena". Just like the title suggests, the album introduced a "softer", more romantic Negative than on previous two albums. It became very successful both in Serbia and other Yugoslav republics, although criticized for turning to City Records. Video for ''Tango'' became one of the most viewed in former Yugoslavia. It is Ivana Peters's favourite album. Videos were shot for the songs "Zbunjena", Tango (Negative song), "Tango" and "Pogled na nebo". Scheduled to be shot were the videos for "Jutro posle dodira" and "Carobni napitak", however, this didn't happen due to the pregnancy of the lead singer, Ivana Peters. Evropesma
''Evropesma'' ( sr-Cyrl, Европесма) or ''Europjesma'' () was a pop song contest in Serbia and Montenegro which ran from 2004 to 2006. The winning song represented the country in the Eurovision Song Contest. It was organized by the Serbia and Montenegro union of broadcasters UJRT (consisting of RTS and RTCG). In 2005 and 2006, ''Beovizija'' and '' Montevizija'' served as Serbia's and Montenegro's semi-finals for ''Evropesma'' (respectively). After the dissolution of the state union between Serbia and Montenegro, the semifinal contests took over the role of this festival. Voting process RTCG argued that fairly anonymous representatives from Montenegro have little chance against a number of big music stars that generally take part on behalf of RTS, and who are usually famous in Montenegro itself. Serbia and Montenegro was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "" , composed by Željko Joksimović, with lyrics by Leontina Vukomanović, and performed by Željko Joksimović and the Ad-Hoc Orchestra. Srdan Golubović ( sr-cyr, Срдан Голубовић; born August 24, 1972) is a Serbian film director and university professor. Biography Golubović's father was a film director Predrag Golubović. His first feature film '' Absolute 100'' participated in main programs of over thirty international film festivals, including Cottbus, Rotterdam, Thessaloniki, Toronto and San Sebastian, winning 10 international and 19 domestic awards. His second feature film '' Klopka'' ("The Trap") had its world premiere at the Berlinale in 2007.
