N-Trance
N-Trance () are a British electronic music group who were formed by Kevin O'Toole and Dale Longworth in 1991. The group is known for their European hit songs " Set You Free" and "Electronic Pleasure", and their covers of the 1970s disco songs "Stayin' Alive", "D.I.S.C.O.", " Shake Ya Body", and "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?". They had 14 charting singles in the UK during 1994–2004. History Early years (1990–93) Kevin O'Toole and Dale Longworth formed N-Trance in 1990, after meeting at Oldham College in Greater Manchester, where they were both studying sound engineering and they were signed by Pete Waterman's 380 Records (a sub-label of PWL). Vocalist Kelly Llorenna sang on their first song, " Set You Free", recorded at Revolution Studios in Cheadle Hulme in July 1992. "Stayin' Alive" is a song written and performed by the Bee Gees from the ''Saturday Night Fever'' motion picture soundtrack. The song was released in 1977 as the second single from the ''Saturday Night Fever'' soundtrack. The band co-produced the song with Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson. "Electronic Pleasure" is a song by English electronic dance music group N-Trance, featuring vocals from Gillian Wisdom and rap by Ricardo da Force. Released in February 1996 as the fourth and last single from their debut album by the same name (1995), it was the follow-up to their successful cover of "Stayin' Alive". The song peaked at number two in Israel, number nine in Scotland and number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. Additionally, it was a top 20 hit in Italy and a top 30 hit in France, peaking at number 17 and 23. It was first released as a white label record in 1992, then officially released as a single in April 1994, just making the UK top 40 at No. 39. Kelly Llorenna (born 1975) is an English dance music singer, who was born in Slough, Berkshire and raised in Oldham, Greater Manchester. She is best known as the former lead vocalist for the dance group N-Trance in the 1990s. Their biggest hit was " Set You Free", which made the UK top five in early 1995. Jervis Ricardo Alfonso Lyte (30 April 1967 – 8 March 2013), known professionally as Ricardo da Force, was an English vocalist, rapper, and DJ, most notable for contributing vocals to house and dance music tracks of The KLF and N-Trance. He got his stage name from a track he rapped by the band X-10-CIV called "The Force" along with Shola Phillips. Later in his life, he was resident DJ at 'The Apartment' in Dubai. Rachel McFarlane is a British singer. She began singing at the age of twelve as a gospel singer. In 1992, her career began as a featured member of the dancehall/rave act The Family Foundation, which recorded the single "Express Yourself". After the act disbanded, McFarlane joined the house music group Loveland (with Mark Hadfield, Paul Taylor and Paul Waterman) in 1994. She was featured on their track " Let the Music (Lift You Up)" which reached number 16 in the UK Singles Chart. The same year, she recorded "Turn Up the Power" with N-Trance.
