Myanmar competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, held from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's sixteenth appearance at the Olympics, although at most previous Games it competed under the name ''Burma''. Myanmar did not participate at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal for political reasons. Myanmar Olympic Committee sent a total of six athletes to the Games, an equal number of men and women, to compete in 5 sports, tying the record with Beijing for the most athletes representing Myanmar at a single Olympics. Among these athletes, archer Nay Myo Aung and single sculls rower Shwe Zin Latt competed at their second consecutive Olympics. Markiyan Volodymyrovych Ivashko (Ukrainian: Маркіян Володимирович Івашко; born May 18, 1979) is a Ukrainian archer. 2008 Summer Olympics At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Ivashko finished his ranking round with a total of 658 points, which gave him the 32nd seed for the final competition bracket in which he faced Daniel Morillo in the first round. The Spanish archer won the match by 115–107. Morillo would be eliminated in the following round by Juan René Serrano. Together with Oleksandr Serdyuk and Viktor Ruban he also took part in the team event. The women's 78 kg category in judo at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place between 28 July and 2 August at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre. The gold and silver medals were determined by a single-elimination tournament, with the winner of the final taking gold and the loser receiving silver. Judo events awarded two bronze medals. The women's marathon at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on the Olympic marathon street course on 5 August. The course started and finished on The Mall in central London. Runners completed one short circuit of 2.219 miles around part of the City of Westminster and then three longer circuits of 8 miles around Westminster, the Victoria Embankment and the City of London. The course was designed to pass many of London's best known landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Paul's Cathedral, the Guildhall, Leadenhall Market, the Monument, the Tower of London and the Houses of Parliament.
