Mytown (organization)
Mytown, an acronym for Multicultural Youth Tour of What's Now, was a List of youth organizations, youth organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, USA, engaging young people in learning about and teaching others about the local history of their urban neighborhood. "My Town" is a song written by Reed Nielsen and Jeffrey Steele and recorded by American country music duo Montgomery Gentry. It was released in June 2002 as the lead-off single and title track to their album of the same name. It peaked on the U.S. country chart at #5 and also peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it one of their highest peaking crossover singles. After the death of member Troy Gentry, Eddie Montgomery, the other member of the duo, sang the song with Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts as a tribute during the 51st Annual Country Music Association Awards on November 8, 2017. Mytown
Mytown was an Irish boy band formed in 1996 by members Danny O'Donoghue, Dermot Browne (World's Apart), Mark Sheehan, Terry Daly and Paul Walker. They released one album, the epomynous '' Mytown'' and had a number of singles before splitting up in 2001, however Browne left before then after a falling out with Louis Walsh citing irreconcilable differences. The Script
The Script are an Irish rock band formed in 2001 in Dublin, consisting of lead vocalist and keyboardist Danny O'Donoghue, lead guitarist Mark Sheehan, and drummer Glen Power. The band moved to London after signing to Sony Label Group imprint Phonogenic and released their eponymous debut album in August 2008, preceded by the debut single " We Cry" as well as other singles such as " The Man Who Can't Be Moved", "Breakeven" and "Before the Worst". The album peaked at number one in both Ireland and the UK. The debut album was the only album released by the band before their break-up in 2001, with two of its members (Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan) later going on to form the alternative rock band The Script. Four singles were released from the album: "Do It Like This", which was only released in Ireland, "Body Bumpin'", which was only released in the United States, "Now That I Found You", which was only released in the United States and Australia, and "Party All Night". "My Town" is a song by Canadian band Glass Tiger. Released in August 1991 as the fourth single from their third studio album, '' Simple Mission'', Rod Stewart appears as a featured vocalist. Composition inspired by Celtic music, "My Town" was written by Glass Tiger bandmates Alan Frew, Alan Connelly and Wayne Parker, as well as Jim Cregan, who co-wrote two of Stewart's other hits. The song's lyrics are a tribute to Frew's hometown, Coatbridge, Scotland, and Stewart was invited to record the song with Glass Tiger because of his Scottish ancestry.
