Erich Waschneck
Erich John Waschneck (29 April 1887, in Grimma, Kingdom of Saxony – 22 September 1970, in Berlin) was a German cameraman, director, screenwriter, and film producer. Early life Erich was the son of Karl Hermann Waschneck, a blacksmith, and his wife Therese Emilie, née Schneider. Waschneck went to finishing school at the Leipzig Art Academy and studied painting. Career He came in contact with the film industry in 1907 when he began to paint posters for films. He then worked as a still photographer and later as a camera assistant to cinematographer Fritz Arno Wagner . In 1921, he did his first work as a cameraman in the adaptation of the fairy tale ''The Little Muck'' by Wilhelm Hauff. From 1924 he worked as a director. Isa Vermehren (21 April 1918 Lübeck – 15 July 2009 Bonn, Germany) was a German religious sister, a former cabaret artist and film actress. Life Isa Vermehren was born in Lübeck where she spent childhood, youth and school time. Because she refused to greet the flag of the German Reich, she was expelled from grammar school in May 1933. Her mother, the journalist Petra Vermehren, moved then to Berlin, taking Isa with her. Trude Haefelin (1 July 1914 – 3 October 2008) was a German film and stage actress. Biography Haefelin grew up in Munich-Schwabing as a half-ore after the father had fallen in the First World War. She attended the Lyzeum of the English Miss in Wasserburg am Inn and received acting lessons at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. She gave her stage debut at the Schauspielhaus Munich at the age of 16. She soon came to Berlin, where she appeared at the Rose Theater, at the theater on Nollendorfplatz, at the Deutsches Theater and at the Schillertheater under Heinrich George. From 1932, Haefelin participated in many film productions in often extensive supporting roles.
