Bradley Barker
Bradley Barker (January 18, 1883 – September 29, 1951) was an American actor and film director of the silent era. He also created sound effects for film and radio. Born in Long Island, New York, Barker was a vaudeville performer and an actor in stock theater. He appeared in 70 films between 1915 and 1928. He also directed seven films between 1929 and 1930. After he worked as an actor, Barker began creating sound effects for radio programs and films. He provided the sound of the MGM lion on screen before the studio began using a recording of a real lion and provided sounds of a variety of animals on radio. Radio programs on which he worked included ''Let's Pretend'' and ''Little Orphan Annie''. On September 29, 1951, Barker died at his home in New York City at age 68. Osgood Perkins
James Ridley Osgood Perkins (May 16, 1892 – September 21, 1937) was an American actor. Life and career Perkins was born in West Newton, Massachusetts, son of Henry Phelps Perkins Jr., and his wife, Helen Virginia (née Anthony). His maternal grandfather was wood engraver Andrew Varick Stout Anthony. He was a graduate of Harvard College. Perkins made his Broadway debut in 1924 in the George S. Kaufman – Marc Connelly play ''Beggar on Horseback''. In the next 12 years, he would appear in 24 Broadway productions, including '' The Front Page'' and ''Uncle Vanya''. Despite his success as a leading man in the theatre, Hollywood viewed him as a character actor. Louis Sorin (September 23, 1893 – December 14, 1961) was an American actor. Biography Louis Sorin was born in New York City. He appeared in 15 films between 1929 and 1961. He also acted on stage, including appearing on Broadway in more than 20 productions between 1923 and 1952. Sorin is probably best known to modern audiences for his performances as Roscoe W. Chandler in The Marx Brothers 1930 film ''Animal Crackers'', a role he created on the Broadway stage, and as Mr. Manicotti in the ''Honeymooners'' episode "Mama Loves Mambo" (1956).
