Mirat-ul-Uroos (TV Series)
''Mirat-ul-Uroos'' (Urdu: lit:The Mirror of the Bride) is a Pakistani telenovela inspired from the novel of same name by Nazir Ahmad Dehlvi. It was directed by Anjum Shahzad while written by Umera Ahmad. It aired on Geo Entertainment in Pakistan from 4 December 2012 to 6 June 2013. The story of the serial revolves around the granddaughters of Akbari, played by Aamina Sheikh and Mehwish Hayat, and the grandsons of Asghari, played by Mikaal Zulfiqar and Ahsan Khan who later married. Plot summaray ''Mirat-ul-Uroos'' contrasts the lives of the grandchildren of Akbari and Asghari. Akbari's first granddaughter Aiza is arrogant, spendthrift and has been raised with a lot of love, while her second granddaughter Aima is the exact opposite of Aiza. While Asghari's grandsons are Hammad and Hashim, who fall for and eventually marry Aiza and Aima. Aiza shows her true colours in her in-laws' house. Pakistani Dramas
Pakistani dramas, or Pakistani serials, are televised serials produced in Pakistan. Although most of the serials are produced in Urdu, an increasing number of them are produced in other Pakistani languages such as Sindhi, Pashto, Punjabi and Balochi. One of Pakistan's oldest television dramas is the Urdu serial '' Khuda Ki Basti'', which aired in 1969. Pakistani dramas, like serials elsewhere, reflect the country's culture. Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan
''Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan'' ( ur, ) is a Pakistani television drama series, directed by Babar Javed and produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Humayun Saeed, based on Umera Ahmad's novel of the same name. The series is about Saba, a woman torn between faith, fidelity and forgiveness and the story spans across two generations and then focuses on her daughter, Sara. It has an ensemble cast consisting of Samiya Mumtaz, Samina Peerzada, Sarwat Gillani, Mehreen Raheel, Faisal Qureshi, Adnan Siddiqui, Imran Abbas, Ismat Zaidi, and Humayun Saeed. ''Doraha'' ( ur, ) (English: Crossroad) is a Pakistani drama television series which premiered on Geo Entertainment on 17 October 2008. It is an adaptation of an Urdu novel ''Mein Ne Khawabon Ka Shajar Dekha Hai'', written by Umera Ahmad. The serial is produced by Humayun Saeed and Abdullah Kadwani's production house 7th Sky Entertainment and directed by Mehreen Jabbar. The official soundtrack is called ''Tum Kahan Chal Diye'', composed and performed by Jal the band. It was one of the tracks in Jal's album Boondh, released in 2007 and was well received by the listeners. Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007. Originally broadcast in English, on 15 May 2010, Dawn News converted into an Urdu news channel after successful test transmission of four hours a day.
