Minoru Kawasaki (film Director)
, born 15 August 1958, is a Japanese filmmaker, best known for low-budget parody films featuring surreal humour and traditional practical effects. Kawasaki began his career with mostly self-financed work, including the ''Den-Ace'' short films, featuring a parody of kyodai-style Japanese superheroes, before working on Tsuburaya Production's ''Ultraman Tiga'' (1996-1997). He had his first hit with '' The Calamari Wrestler'' (2004), about a wrestler who inexplicably becomes a giant squid. He followed this up with ''Executive Koala'' (2005), about an anthropomorphic koala salaryman who may or may not have murdered his wife, and '' Kabuto-O Beetle'' (also 2005), another wrestling-themed movie, this time with a giant stag beetle. In 2006, he released '' The World Sinks Except Japan'', a spoof of Shinji Higuchi's remake of ''Japan Sinks'', and ''Crab Goalkeeper'' (also 2006), a film Kawasaki describes as being his '' Forrest Gump'' (1994). Planet Prince 2021
is a 2021 Japanese tokusatsu science fiction superhero film directed by Minoru Kawasaki. It is a reboot of Toei's ''Planet Prince'' franchise and the second theatrical film adaptation of the series. Premise 200 years after his spaceship crashed landed on Earth. Planet Prince awakens from his sleep, rescuing the bakery's daughter Kimiko from a desperate pinch and deciding to stay at the bakery. As the planetary prince explored the earth, he interacted with the residents, occasionally replaced the top idols, and guarded the city from the alien invaders, the Turtans. The impact of the crash, however, caused most of his memory to be wiped out, and he had no idea how to return to the fourth planet. Although he became a hero, the Turtans later revealed that he was the universe's destroyer. is a 2016 Japanese ''kaiju'' film directed by Minoru Kawasaki. Plot A giant monster appears from the ground, after the eruption of Mt. Myojin. In the meantime, Japanese government asks help from the scientist Dr. Saigo and his daughter Miwa. Both work at the Institute of Super Physics and Chemistry and were once ousted from the academic world on suspicion of forging materials concerning what the two scientist announce the be a universal cell, "Setap X". Using the Setap X, Dr. Saigo transforms his assistant, Yoide Nitta into a giant wrestler with a height of 40 meters. Neko Ramen
, also known as ''Neko Ramen'', is a Japanese four-panel comic strip manga created by Kenji Sonishi. The comedy centers around a cat (''Taishō'') and his encounters while running a ramen shop. The ''yonkoma'' series has been adapted into a TV flash anime produced by Think Corporation, with 26 episodes to date. The original ''yonkoma'' is still being published in the monthly Japanese manga magazine Monthly Comic Blade. ''Neko Rahmen'' was the most watched short animation series on Yahoo! Japan official streaming site in August 2007. The film is loosely based on an unmade film featuring a giant octopus proposed by Eiji Tsuburaya prior to production of the original 1954 ''Godzilla'' film. Plot Yuta Tanuma, a former member of the Institute for Super Physics and Chemistry, was dismissed during the development of a powerful drug that enlarges living things, and is currently helping his parents' sushi restaurant. Meanwhile, a giant squid and a giant octopus suddenly appear in Tokyo. Hibiki, a government-organized seafood monster attack unit (SMAT) commander, invited Yuta to SMAT. SMAT introduces a new weapon "vinegar cannon" to challenge the three major monsters. Kaiju
is a Japanese media genre that focuses on stories involving giant monsters. The word ''kaiju'' can also refer to the giant monsters themselves, which are usually depicted attacking major cities and battling either the military or other monsters.
