Junshi Bowuguan (Military Museum) station () is an interchange station on Line 1 and Line 9 of the Beijing Subway. It located near the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution. Fuxing Road, Beijing
Fuxing Road () is a road in western Beijing, China, forming part of the extended Chang'an Avenue. The entire road lies within the confines of Haidian District. It is believed to run from Gongzhufen on the West 3rd Ring Road through to the West 5th Ring Road; however, maps indicate its path from Muxidi Bridge (just before the West 3rd Ring Road) to Yuquanlu (just after the West 4th Ring Road). The Wukesong Indoor Stadium, a venue for the 2008 Summer Olympics, runs alongside the road. The venue has since then been renamed the "MasterCard Center". To the west of Fuxing Road is Shijingshan Road, while to the east of Fuxing Road is Fuxingmen Outer Street. Haidian District () is a district of the municipality of Beijing. Island Platforms
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. Line 1, Beijing Subway
Line 1 of the Beijing Subway () is the oldest and one of the busiest lines of Beijing's mass transit rail network. Line 1 runs underneath Chang'an Avenue, the city's grand east–west thoroughfare, right through the heart of Beijing with stops on either side of Tiananmen Square. Line 1's color is red. Line 9 of the Beijing Subway () is a rapid transit line in western Beijing. The line runs from the in Haidian District to in Fengtai District with 13 stations. All stations are fully underground. Line 9's color is chartreuse. History In 1989, the State Council decided to build Beijing West railway station on the Beijing-Kowloon railway. Subway planning had determined that Beijing West railway station would be the interchange between Lines 7 and 9.
