Martin De Thurah
Martin de Thurah (born 29 April 1974 in Copenhagen) is a Danish film director, screenwriter, cinematographer and music video director. De Thurah graduated from National Film School of Denmark in 2002. Awards * The music video for Carpark North's "Human" won DMA ("Danish Grammy") for Danish Music Video of the Year in 2006. "When I Grow Up" is the second single from Swedish recording artist Fever Ray's self-titled debut album, '' Fever Ray'' (2009). Critical reception Pitchfork Media placed "When I Grow Up" at number 36 on the website's list of The Top 100 Tracks of 2009. Music video The music video for "When I Grow Up" was directed by Martin de Thurah. He said of the video's visual statement: "That initial idea was something about something coming out of water—something which was about to take form – a state turning into something new. And a double headed creature not deciding which to turn. But the idea had to take a simpler form, to let the song grow by itself. I remembered a photo I took in Croatia two years ago, a swimming pool with its shining blue color in a grey foggy autumn landscape." The Futureheads
The Futureheads are an English post-punk band from Sunderland, formed in 2000. The band consists of Ross Millard (vocals and guitar), David "Jaff" Craig (vocals and bass guitar) and brothers Barry Hyde (vocals and guitar) and Dave Hyde (drums). Their name comes from the title of The Flaming Lips album '' Hit to Death in the Future Head''. "What Else Is There?" is the third single from the Norwegian duo Röyksopp's second album '' The Understanding''. It features the vocals of Karin Dreijer from the Swedish electronica duo The Knife. The album was released in the UK with the help of Astralwerks. The single was used in an O2 television advertisement in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia during 2008. Röyksopp
Röyksopp (), a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø formed in 1998. The duo consists of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Berge and Brundtland were introduced to each other through a mutual friend in Tromsø, Norway. They enjoyed the same films and music, and shared an interest in electronics. The two experimented with various forms of electronic music, and bought a drum machine together during the Tromsø techno scene before going their separate ways. Several years later, the two met up again and formed Röyksopp during the Bergen Wave. After experimenting with different genres of electronic music, the band solidified their place in the electronica scene with their 2001 debut album, '' Melody A.M.'', released on the Wall of Sound record label. Spleen United is a Danish electronic rock band consisting of the brothers Bjarke (Vocals/Guitar) and Gaute Niemann (Bass/ Synth), Kasper Nørlund (Synth/Backing vocals), Rune Wehner (Synth) and Janus Nevel Ringsted (Drums). "Bullets" is the debut single by British post-punk revival band Editors, originally released 24 January 2005. It is from their 2005 debut album, '' The Back Room''. The single was mixed by Cenzo Townshend and the video made for the song was directed by Mike Brady. Both editions of the original single were limited to 500 copies. It was then re-released on 26 September 2005 as the fourth single from the album. Editors are an English rock band, formed in 2002 in Birmingham. Previously known as Pilot, The Pride and Snowfield, the band currently consists of Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leetch (bass guitar, synthesiser, backing vocals), Ed Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (lead guitar), Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals), and Benjamin John Power (composer and producer). The 2010 Bergen International Film Festival was arranged in Bergen, Norway 20th-27 October 2010, and was the 11th edition of the festival. It featured over 150 feature films and documentaries, and had an attendance over 45,000, both numbers a new record for the festival.
