Martin Hašek
Martin Hašek (born 11 October 1969 in Pardubice) is a former Czech football midfielder and current football coach. Football career During his extensive playing career, Hašek played professionally for SKP Union Cheb, FC Slovan Liberec, Sparta Prague, FK Austria Wien, SK Sturm Graz, FC Dynamo Moscow, 1. FK Příbram and FC Přední Kopanina, retiring at almost 38. In 1997, in his first spell at Sparta, he teamed up with namesake Ivan, his cousin. Hašek gained 14 caps for the Czech Republic. Immediately after retiring, he took up coaching, first as an assistant to Sparta. After a brief head spell with lowly FK Baník Sokolov, he returned to his main club in the same capacity, now under legendary Jozef Chovanec. Personal Hašek's older brother, Dominik, had an extensive and successful ice hockey career in the NHL, as a goaltender. Pardubice
Pardubice (; german: Pardubitz) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 89,000 inhabitants. It is the capital city of the Pardubice Region and lies on the Elbe River. FK Ústí Nad Labem
FK Ústí nad Labem is a Czech football club based in the city of Ústí nad Labem. Currently the club plays in the Bohemian Football League. The club has played at the top level of national football on three occasions, most recently in the 2010–11 season. However their joy was short-lived as they were immediately relegated. Czech First League
The Czech First League, known as the Fortuna liga for sponsorship reasons, is a Czech professional league for football clubs. At the top of the Czech football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Seasons typically run from August to May, most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays with few games played on Fridays. All Fortuna liga clubs qualify for the Czech Cup. Dominik Hašek
Dominik Hašek (, ; born January 29, 1965) is a Czech former ice hockey goaltender who mostly played for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). Widely regarded as one of the best goaltenders of all time, Hašek also played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings and the Ottawa Senators in his 16-season National Hockey League (NHL) career, before finishing his career in Europe. During his years in Buffalo, he became one of the league's finest goaltenders, earning him the nickname "The Dominator". Jozef Chovanec
Jozef Chovanec (born 7 March 1960) is a Czech former professional football player and manager. Playing career As a player, Chovanec spent almost his whole career at Sparta Prague. In 1988, he moved to the Netherlands, to play briefly for PSV Eindhoven. He played for Czechoslovakia and was a participant in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Coaching career As a football manager he coached the Czech Republic from 1998 to 2001. He managed to qualify his team to Euro 2000 but then failed to do so for the World Cup 2002, being eliminated by Belgium in the play-off matches two times by 1–0. On 8 October 2008, Chovanec returned to AC Sparta Prague for his fourth spell as manager and parted from the club in December 2011. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. Ivan Hašek
Ivan Hašek (born 6 September 1963) is a Czech professional football coach and former player. Hašek played as a central midfielder, and spent 11 years of his career with Sparta Prague, appearing in more than 300 official games with the club, and later acting as its manager. Hašek represented Czechoslovakia at the 1990 World Cup, and was also president of the Football Association of the Czech Republic. Playing career Hašek was born in Městec Králové. During his 21-year career, he represented AC Sparta Prague (two spells), RC Strasbourg, Sanfrecce Hiroshima and JEF United Ichihara.
