''Home and Away'' is an Australian soap opera. The following is a list of characters that first appeared in 2005, by order of appearance. They were all introduced by the show's series producer Julie McGuaran. The 18th season of ''Home and Away'' began airing on the Seven Network on 10 January 2005. The first introduction of year was Emily Perry as Eve Jacobsen. Issac Gorman arrived as Ryan Baker in March as did Sharni Vinson as Cassie Turner. Doug Scroope began playing Graham Walters in April. Seven Network
The Seven Network (commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is a major Australian commercial free-to-air television network. It is owned by Seven West Media Limited, and is one of five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney. Rhys Wakefield is an Australian actor and director, known for his roles in Australian TV series '' Home and Away'', the feature film ''The Black Balloon'' (2008) and in season 3 of HBO's ''True Detective'' in 2019. Wakefield's debut feature film as director, ''Berserk'', was released in American cinemas on 5 April 2019. He is also the director and co-creator of sci-fi podcast series, From Now, which is being developed into a TV Series with Amazon Studios. Early life and education Wakefield was born in Cairns, Queensland, to a medical standards officer mother and a father who serves in the navy. Hayley Rose Smith (also Lawson) is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera '' Home and Away''. She was portrayed from September 1998 to September 2005 by actress Rebecca Cartwright and from September to November 2005 by Ella Scott Lynch, after Cartwright left the show for personal reasons. Casting In May 2005, Cartwright announced she would be leaving ''Home and Away'' for personal reasons. The announcement came one week after she confirmed she was pregnant with her first child. Summer Bay
Summer Bay is the fictional coastal town featured in the Australian soap opera, '' Home and Away''. Palm Beach, the most Northern beach of Sydney, is used for the show's exterior scenes in order to depict the Bay. Between 2010 and 2014, the Lane Cove River Tourist Park in Macquarie Park was used as the location for filming of scenes involving the Summer Bay Caravan Park.
