Michal Hašek
Michal Hašek (born 17 April 1976) is a Czech politician and former Governor of the South Moravian Region. From 2002 until 2014, he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP). He also served as shadow Minister of Agriculture in the shadow cabinet of former Prime Minister Jiří Paroubek. In July 2018, Hašek became an external advisor to the Czech Minister of Agriculture, , as a member of the Ministerial Legislative Council. Early life and education Hašek graduated with a Masters' law degree from the Masaryk University Faculty of Law. He also received a juris degree from an obscure law school in the southwestern Slovak town of Sládkovičovo, but its validity has been called into question; Hašek's thesis supervisor was Mojmír Mamojka, a politician from Slovakia's Smer party, leading to allegations of clientelism. Bohuslav Sobotka
Bohuslav Sobotka (; born 23 October 1971) is a Czech politician and lawyer who served as the prime minister of the Czech Republic from January 2014 to December 2017 and leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) from 2010 until his resignation in June 2017. He was a member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) from 1996 to 2018. Sobotka also served as Minister of Finance from 2002 to 2006. Elected as an MP in 1996, Sobotka was appointed Finance Minister in the Cabinet of Vladimír Špidla in 2002, and reappointed in the cabinets of Social Democratic Prime Ministers Stanislav Gross and Jiří Paroubek. Law, Respect, Expertise (, PRO) is a right-wing populist political party in the Czech Republic. History The party was founded in June 2022 by figures linked to Charter 2022, an initiative opposing COVID-19 restrictions and vaccinations. Lawyer Jindřich Rajchl, a former member of the Tricolour Citizens' Movement, became its first leader. The party largely focused on energy policy during the press conferences held to launch the party. 2020 Czech Regional Elections
Elections to regional councils in the Czech Republic in 13 regions (except Prague) were held on 2–3 October 2020. Background ANO 2011 won the previous election. Czech Social Democratic Party saw heavy losses and came second. 2017 Czech legislative election resulted in another victory of ANO 2011 while Social Democrats were reduced to 6th place. Brno central station referendum, 2016, is a municipal referendum on the location of Brno main railway station, in Brno, Moravia, Czech Republic and the way of its future modernisation. Citizens will vote on whether to retain the station at its current location and modernise it, or replace it with a new station at another location. The result of the referendum binds only local government. Nevertheless, it also indirectly affects government organs in the Czech Republic through the already existing system of contractual obligations. Jan Hamáček
Jan Hamáček (born 4 November 1978) is a Czech politician who was leader of the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) from February 2018 until October 2021, and minister of the Interior from June 2018 to December 2021.
