Michael Roberts (died 3 May 1679) was Principal of Jesus College, Oxford, from 1648 to 1657. Life Roberts came from the parish of Llanffinan in Anglesey, Wales, but his date of birth is uncertain. He graduated with a BA from Trinity College, Dublin in 1620 (MA 1623) and was incorporated at Oxford and Cambridge in 1624. Michael Roberts (born 27 July 1959) is a former Australian rules footballer and now television sports journalist and reporter with the Nine Network and Triple M. Football career Roberts was recruited from Beaumaris and Melbourne High, and is the son of former St Kilda Football Club great Neil Roberts. He made his debut with St Kilda in 1978, and went on to play 77 games and kick 45 goals until 1985. He then moved to the Richmond Football Club for one season in 1986, playing 12 games and 4 goals. He made his final move to the Fitzroy Football Club for 1987, where he played 2 games and 1 goal. Roberts also represented Victoria in 1981. Michael Lorenzo Roberts (born May 7, 1994) is an American former professional football player who was a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Toledo Rockets, earning All-American honors in 2016. Michael David Tudor Roberts (born 13 March 1989) is an English cricketer. Roberts was born at Oxford in March 1989. He was educated at The Oratory School, before matriculating to the University of Bath. Roberts made his debut in minor counties cricket for Berkshire against Dorset in the 2006 Minor Counties Championship. His first spell in minor counties cricket with Berkshire lasted until 2012, with him making fourteen appearances in the Minor Counties Championship and seven in the MCCA Knockout Trophy. Michael Symmons Roberts FRSL (born 1963) is a British poet. He has published eight collections of poetry, all with Cape (Random House), and has won the Forward Prize, the Costa Book Award and the Whitbread Prize for Poetry, as well as major prizes from the Arts Council and Society of Authors. He has been shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize, the Griffin Poetry Prize and the Ondaatje Prize. He has also written novels, libretti and texts for oratorios and song cycles. Michael Roberts (18 April 1817 – 4 October 1882), was an Irish mathematician and academic of Trinity College, Dublin (TCD), who served as Erasmus Smith's Professor of Mathematics there 1862-1879.
