Michael Heath (Paralympic Swimmer)
Michael Heath (born 1989) is a Canadian swimmer who participated in the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. He competed in the 200m freestyle, the 100m breaststroke, and the 100m backstroke. Heath trains with the Wilmot Aquatic Aces in New Hamburg, Ontario. In 2012, Heath participated in the Pan Pacific Para-Swimming Championships, and took home a bronze medal in the Men's 100m LC Meter Breaststroke Multi-Disability. Heath is now retired from the Paralympics. The Township of Wilmot is a rural township in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in southwestern Ontario, Canada. History Archaic and Woodland periods The earliest concrete evidence of human activity within Wilmot dates to around 8,300 years ago, in the Early Archaic period, though some artifacts are thought to be as old as 13,000 years. Early Archaic evidence is in the form of artifacts from the Hunsberger Creek site ( AiHd-83). This site on the upper part of Hunsberger Creek saw occupation during the Early and Middle Archaic periods, as well as the Middle and possibly Late Woodland periods. New Hamburg is a community of approximately 11,953 (2011 stats) in the township of Wilmot, Ontario, Canada. It is in the far western part of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, near the regional border with Perth County.
