Matt Wells (television Presenter)
Matt Wells is an actor and writer best known for his work in the critically acclaimed film Crown and Anchor. He began in national television on MuchMusic in 2002 as host of the show ''Going Coastal'', followed by ''Where you at Baby?''. and later became a presenter on MuchMore. Wells grew up in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. He moved to Halifax in 2000 and then to Toronto, Ontario in 2007. He was also a member of the hard rock band Bucket Truck from 1996 to 2007 as singer, and also produced and directed music videos for the band. Much (an abbreviation for its full name MuchMusic) is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. through its Bell Media subsidiary that airs programming aimed at teenagers and young adults. MuchMusic launched on August 31, 1984, under the ownership of CHUM Limited, and was originally focused on music programming, including blocks of music videos and original series focusing on Canadian musicians. In the years since its acquisition by Bell, Much has cancelled the majority of its music programming due to budget and staffing cuts. Michael Rowe is a Canadian actor and musician. He is best known for his portrayal of Floyd Lawton / Deadshot in the television series ''Arrow''. Career Michael Rowe came from a family of musicians. After seeing his father perform in a band, he took up drumming at the age of 6. In 1996, he began his career as part of a punk/metal band called Bucket Truck for ten years. After splitting up, Rowe and his brother, Andrew, decided to enter filmmaking. ''Crown and Anchor'' is a Canadian drama film, directed by Andrew Rowe and released in 2018. The film stars Michael Rowe, a police officer in Toronto who returns home to Newfoundland and Labrador for his mother's funeral, only to learn that his cousin Danny ( Matt Wells) has been drawn into a life of crime and violence.
