Motiur Rahman Mollik
Motiur Rahman Mollik (; 1950 – 2010) was a poet lyricist, compositor, writer, organizer, researcher, editor, singer and a cultural leader. He was one of the modern poets of Bengali literature. Biography He is often called the poet of Renaissance and is remembered after the name of Kazi Nazrul Islam, the national poet of Bangladesh. His surviving works include articles consists of around two thousand songs, four poetry books, two lyrical and one juvenile books. Matiur Rahman Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi journalist, editor and talk-show host. He is the editor-in-chief of the ''Manab Zamin'', a Bengali language tabloid newspaper. Chowdhury also reports for ''Voice of America'' (Bangla) as a correspondent. He has hosted a late night chat-show, Ajker Sangbadpatra, on Channel i, a privately owned broadcast channel, since 2005. He also hosted another political chat-show, called ''Frontline'', on Banglavision, before it was suspended citing "technical problems". However, several journalists including Chowdhury claimed that authorities were behind the closure. Motiur Rahman Munna (; born 1 September 1979) is a retired Bangladeshi footballer who played as a central midfielder. He played for the Bangladesh national team from 1999 to 2009. Motiur spent most of his club career captaining Mohammedan SC, where he won several trophies. He also played for Brothers Union, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC and Abahani Limited Dhaka during his 14-year club career. International career On 22 April 1999, Motiur made his debut for the national team against India during the 1999 SAFF Championship. Matiur Rehman (born 1977, Bahawalpur District, Punjab Province, Pakistan) is a Pakistani militant who has been identified as al Qaeda's planning director and is the chief operational commander of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and is closely associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami. Pakistani police have identified him as being involved in the kidnapping of ''Wall Street Journal'' reporter Daniel Pearl. He was designated by the Al-Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee of the Security Council in 2011. He was thought to have frequent contacts with Ayman al-Zawahiri and to be in contact with Rashid Rauf. It was suggested at one point that Rehman and Rauf were one and the same, but this was dismissed by officials in Britain and Pakistan. Matiur Rahman Mallik (24 January 1953-24 January 1969) was a Pakistani Bengali people, Bengali national activist. He was killed by the Pakistani police during 1969 uprising in East Pakistan. He received the Independence Day Award from the Government of Bangladesh in 2018. Background Malik was the son of Azhar Ali Mallik from Sabujbagh, Dhaka. He was a Standard IX student of Nabakumar Institution when he took part in a street march demanding autonomy for East Pakistan, the future country of Bangladesh. The uprising has historic significance and its spirit awakened people to fight for democracy and basic human rights, as it eventually led to the independence of Bangladesh.
